- pjf replies to TomasI too received a call during dinner time. I traced the number back to Sprint, sent them a complaint notice and within 2 hours I received a reply stating that they will cease all contact, vmail, text etc regarding their promotions.
- SlickThis is a probe for personal information. If you aren't sharp they'll get your account info and lord knows what else by asking you to verify information. As soon as I brought it up they hung up. I called Sprint to verify and they said there is no such promotion or number affiliated with them. I actually had the number turned into their fraud department. I suggest you all do the same so they'll crack down on these guys.
- Kevin Graves replies to MimiHave them send you a letter of justification for your records which will put you in the driver's seat if collections come after you for payment.
KG - DJust got a call from this # at 8:05 pm on my cell phone.
- Christina replies to JadedI called Sprint/nextel as soon as I called this number (877) 671-1851 from a land line. It is NOT SPrint or Nextel. They looked up that number and it is NOT one of thier lines. They do NOT call fo promotions unless you are on thier calling list. I have had nextel for 5 years and have NEVER once gotten a call like this. Do not answer it.
- BrettThey called me at 8:25 this evening..i answered and it took them a while to reply..as i was listening i heard what sounded like a TV in the background, they called me by name so it kinda had me a little scared, plus this was the first time that I have got this call from them since i have had sprint..glad I found this site!!
- Caller: Sprint
- JoLynnThey called left no message..I called the number back it was Sprint offering promotions.
- 877-671-1851I just got this call. I have noticed several times that people have already verified "This is not Sprint!!!!". Sprint does not solicit information that way. These people are shady. They do not ask for PIN numbers and Sprint/Nextel sends notices to their customers about this all the time. I am going to email them about this number and find out what happens
- Caller: Don't know
- Tishalulle replies to Jaded| 5 repliesIt was a call to survey you after your recent service, they always doing it after adding a new line, having a phone repaired, etc.

- I Scam Back| 1 replyI work at a hotel and am used to prank calls and scams. To be honest, I don't mind them much because they are a blast to have fun with. I've only received three calls from this number.
Call 1:
Me - "Hello."
Them (thick Indian accent) - "Hi, this is Sarah Ellis with Sprint... (blah blah blah)"
Me - "Hi Sarah! That's a pretty name. Where you from?"
Them - "India."
Me - "Really! What a coincidence, I'm in India right now!"
Them - "If I could just have your pin --"
Me - "Why Sarah, are you flirting with me? Say, are you single. We could meet up maybe while I'm here."
Them - "I'm sorry?"
Me - "What are you wearing? Sometimes I like to wear high heels and --
Them - *click* (Aww, she hung up)
Call 2:
Me - "Hello?"
Them - "Hi, this is Eric calling from Sprint...(blah blah blah)
Me - "Sorry, I'm not interested in...Wha!...No! No!" *me screaming, making noise* "Oh my GOD!"
Them - "Sir?"
Me - "Eric," *gasp* "Eric, god, help! Please, I've been shot! Eric!?"
Them - "Umm" *pause*
Me - "GAaaaahhhh! Eric, I'm too young to die!"
Them - *click* (Aww, they hung up)
Call 3:
Me - "Federal Cybercrimes and Electronic Fraud Division, Eric speaking." (Yes, I stole his name)
Them - *click* (How sad, they hung up.)
Haven't received a call since my last one hehe. It's been over a month now. - I Scam Back replies to I Scam BackPS: I've had Sprint for years and they've been great. I have Never ever EVER been contacted by Sprint by phone. They'll used to send me some email, but I unsubscribed and only get my invoices now. Don't ever get anything from them in the mail, with the exception of a couple gifts they decided to send me. One a coupon for a free charger, and another a $20 in-store-purchase.
This is a scam, so please stop blaming Sprint and freaking out. You're only making yourself look ignorant by throwing a fit thinking Sprint is harrassing you. Sprint doesn't call. At least me. And you probably shouldn't even own a cell phone or anything dealing with internet and/or electronics if you think a credible company is ever going to attempt to pry from you personal account info they should already have. - CCI get these calls all the time. I know my bill is paid and I just ignore the cal. It is very annoying at times. If I want something added to my sprint phone I am a grown up and I know the number and their location. I usually receive 3 or 4 missed calls from this number.
- DuhThis is not Sprint. This is a phone scam to try and get your personal info. Also, it is to verify the line exists and if the call is answered, gives them the "existing relationship" needed to continue calling back. I wish there was a way to get this info to people before they answer the call, but as a habit, I don't answer any call whose number I do not recognize. If it is somebody who needs to get a hold of me, they leave a message or text.
- Eunice SextonNo Message
- jim gUnwanted call
- cheesemani just said thanks for calling, now we know where you are, we will be seeing you in a little while, have a great rest of the day
- blI never answer calls on my phone that are not on my contact list. If it is important or they are a friend they will leave a message. And since the area code is not mine, I can tell right away it is probably a telemarketer. I still Google the number because my curiosity always gets me. It is ironic that Sprint also has my email and mail address and they never send me spam or junk mail. I used to get pissed when telemarketers would call my land line (which I no longer have and did not have caller id). Now I just chill and ignore the call.
- sedAll you have to do is opt out of these phone calls. Instead of getting mad or angry or ignoring the call, just answer the phone, get the NAME of the person calling you.
Then, simply tell them that you are recording the call and you are requesting that all correspondence from that particular company be in writing.
Thanks to our federal government, with those simple tools, if they call you again after that they are subject to a $5,000 dollar fine, if you have done business with them in the past or not.
:) - LizzieI also get calls from this number periodically with no response from the caller. I am a Sprint customer but if this continues I will not be, especially if minutes show on my bill!
