- SkyLeft message saying a neighbor had lost a dog and was offering a $1,000 reward?? But the location given has absolutely nothing to do with anywhere in this county, let alone this neighborhood.
The call-back number they give is for New York City, and the message says "lost in the area of Queens Blvd" (which indicates likely NYC area). I'm in Florida. So how am I supposed to find a dog lost in NYC when I'm in Florida?
I got strong impression that this is a major scam. If you go to the website, it may launch malware. If you call them, it may re-direct to another number which costs you money. My advice is to just ignore the call - let it go to voicemail, and don't call them back or visit their website. It's just not worth taking the chance.- Caller: LostMyDog.com
- oz_ILJust got a call from them. Let it go to voice mail but they did list an option to "press 2" to opt out of calls. Person lost not one, but two dogs! I assume the nitwit owner had no collars on the dogs so if they did get away they would be easier to trace back to the owner.

- cAfJust got a call for this number and I cannot believe the bogus calls I get, thank God for caller ID on my TV, I make a point of never answering my phone anymore if I don't know who's calling. I have also turned off my answering machine for these idiots cannot leave me a message. I am on the DO NOT CALL list and it's a big joke if you ask me.

I let the answering machine pick it up. Have no idea what the message was about because
it was all in Spanish. I don't speak Spanish. - VashtiNo Caller ID so didn't answer. If they are ligit, why don't they identify themselves? Supposedly one of my "neighbors" has lost their dog - why doesn't my "neighbor" come to my door and ask me to help find it? Something fishy here....

- Jeffe replies to jenAnd you sound like a moron. Or, a shill for these creeps who prey on upset pet owners. Try to use your brain -- there's no way to do what the pigflickers claim to do. It's a scam. Do a web search for pet amber alert. Look at the artificially ginned-up "results." Go to the web service called Whois.com, and enter the websites you got in your results. See who the registered owners are. Nationwide, they all go back to the same web scum in Irvine, California. It's all the same evil money grubbing scene. If you are too naive or stubborn to accept this truth, try asking what the real owners of the name Amber Alert think about this dude and his handful of internet minions advertising AMBER ALERTS name and "technology." You should be talking with the U.S. Department of Justice, the FBI, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and your local police. Before you waste your money and have your heart broken,
- youarse replies to CatherineYou DON'T THINK. That's the problem. No, it's FOR PROFIT, not nonprofit. It's all gibberish promises for money, they'll take as much as they can. They use guilt trips and lies to hurt sad, desperate folks who lost their pets. You've got a lot of bloody nerve saying "you haven't lost a pet so you don't know." Ass. If you really cared about pets and people, you wouldn't assist scam artists rip people off. Maybe you work for them.
- Andrewbasher replies to MattAndrewsAndrew you belong behind bars. The authorities will bust you soon enough.
- Spike replies to EdI wish a hundred dog would eat you alive starting with your nuts. Simple research show one thug responsible for this greedy bustard with a computer shakedown!
- Mathers replies to geryGeri, why don't you just turn yourself in to the Department of. Justice now? You're full of baloney. There's no such thing as a pet AMBER ALERT, and yeah they do want money, as much as they can squeeze out of the grieving and gullible. Go flock yoself!
- disgusted againHere we go again, another scam...this time asking us to find a lost doggie. They called my landline at just about 9 PM. What will these bottom feeders think of next. This screams SCAM!!!

- Silverfox replies to Tom55021This is a robocall not some charity organization. I have had dogs for over 40 years, never lost one. As someone else said if you have the collar with tag on it and the dog is chipped you will get your dog back. I value my dogs as my kids
and my dogs are never out of site. They live in the house with me and if I go somewhere the dogs stay in the house.
So, no this outfit has no right to call anybody they wish. - AudWell. That was interesting. I got a robocall from an organization called "Lost my doggie" that apparently specializes in finding lost dogs/cats and they described a cat that I saw yesterday in the neighborhood that I didn't recognize. Out of curiousity, I went to their website and found the lost poster for the cat and after agonizing over whether I should be calling a complete stranger on the "chance" I might've seen his cat, bit the bullet and called the guy. As I was describing the cat I saw, he asked if I was on my street and I said yes - he said he'd gotten 3 other calls from my neighbors, claiming to have spotted the cat! I sure hope there's a happy ending coming from this story. But now that I've substantiated that the call wasn't some kind of hoax, I'm glad I called. Had it been one of my critters that were missing, I'd appreciate a call from a stranger, especially when it gave hope that the critter was still alive after being missing for over a week.

- Oldwoman replies to dog catcherAmen fellow, you are so right in your response to Tom. The lost doggie bit is a SCAM. People need to wake up and smell the freaking coffee. Child predators also use the 'Lost Doggie' bit to lure children into vehicles for only God knows what. If anyone actually loses a pet: Post flyers in the neighborhood, put ads in a newspaper, contact animal shelters, local SPCA, call a radio station and ask for help, etc. Do not stupid and get your chain jerked at places like the doggie.com nonsense. Its a rip off period.
- Oldwoman replies to CatherineI smell a telemarketer trying to justify what you do.
- SusanThis is some new program called lostmydoggie.com. I went into the website and send an email on their contact page....I told them I do not want to receive phone calls and gave them my phone number asking them to remove them from their list....they responded this message: We have removed your number from our list and apologize for any inconvenience.
Sincerely,

- MaryDon't care who they are. Don't care what they do. Blocked 'em. I shouldn't have to go on their site to tell them not to bother me. Really dumb idea. Calling everybody in an area to find someone's dog. They'll be out of business shortly.

- Shawn replies to anonymous| 1 replyWow. You're an ass. My dog is a member of my family. not just an "animal". Your "privacy" is NOT more important that bringing my boy home. Alerting people by phone, and asking them to keep an eye out is a HUGE help in finding these dogs. You are heartless. If you think being "bothered" by one phone call is too much to ask to help find someones family member, you are a sad excuse for a human being.
- Phantom101Received a call from 1-877-818-0060. CID was Lost My Doggie. I gave it the old one ring pickup and immediate hang up. They must be getting desparate with a caller ID like that.
Remember folks, even if it's real, YOU don't have to pick up the phone. I don't pick up if I don't know who is calling. They interrupt you by calling and we make it worse if we pick up. Call me and don't leave a message and you don't get a 2nd chance.
