- KOWhy are some people granted provlage to every ones private info? Thats what bothers me. Not the fact it helps find pets but the fact they can snoop on any one with in a 100 mile radius even if you are on dnc list.. NOT OK!
- Caller: Pet amber alert

- Jim-LAI seem to have gotten on their robocall list and they have called 2-3 times in the last week. Their website http://www.lostmydoggie.com says they are exempt from DNC restrictions and their calls are legal. In addition to the UNWANTED robocalls, they will annoy you with email and Fax spam too.
They charge between $50 and $90 to robocall “neighbors” (their interpretation of, so they can justify their fees to the pet owner). They do not even handle all pets, only the ones they can make money from. They won’t help you find your pet rabbit, snake, turtle, rat, hampster, chameleon, or other exotic pet.
They are greedy and want to make money at our expense while promoting their business to us. They are no better than other telemarketers who annoy us with robocalls and should be classified as such and forced to abide by the DNC.
They have already accumulated a number of complaints on Complaints Board, Rip-off Reports, and similar sites about the business being a scam. Here is but one example: http://www.ripoffreport.com/r/Lostmydoggiecom/internet/Lostmydoggiecom-FAKE-REVIEWS-ON-BIZRATE-This-company-is-a-scam-DO-YOUR-RESEARCH-Inte-976184
I have filed a complaint against them via the DNC. If enough of us do that, maybe their exemption will be rescinded. File complaints here: https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx- Caller: LostMyDoggie.com

- Isaiah replies to Problem SolverWell, you sound like a genuinely horrible person.
- George Marantz replies to ulz| 2 repliesWARNING: Only the U.S. Department of Justice, Police Agencies, and the Center for Missing and Exploited Children may use the term AMBER ALERT. Any fictitious "Amber Alerts" should be reported immediately.
- Cadmemi replies to jenYou sound like a moron.
- Gotya replies to Catherine| 1 replyYou work for them. You cutthroat thrives KNOW that people hate you, so you troll complaint sites, looking for negative comments - then you clutter up the comment forum with your feces, hoping people will think the amount of happy stories outweigh the angry ones...and the truly heartbroken ones. You are not a "service", not a "company", you aren't an "amber alert." What you ARE: A ring of jackals willing to toy with people's emotions and drain their income. If there were really a Satan, you'd be his minions with your robocalls blasting like sulfurous farts straight out of Hell!
- Harry replies to bradDon't chide yourself, that phony pet finder team are immoral [***]!!!!
- They don't care! replies to AngelListen carefully -- you came to this site because you had a problem. Wait.
Soon thereafter, a bunch of eager conflicting comments come in, dribbling treacle about how great Scooby-Search, Cat-wrangler, or whatever BS moniker they use are. Isn't that suspicious to you? I understand why complaints show up here, because innocent people feel bad, ripped off, and betrayed! And they are motivated to compare notes with others. But why would all these people, going about their daily business, suddenly jump up and say, "Hey! I wonder if there's such a thing as a consumer complaint website where I can spend time finding that website and entering positive statements and insulting people who say they got scammed"? Really? Hey, asbreath: try not using the same scripted defenses you all keep repeating wherever your sleazy operation gets slammed by the remorseful victims! Shame on you! Oh yes, and please stop calling honest pet lovers "mean....haters...heartless...etc..." YOU'VE GOT A LOT IF NERVE YOU [***]! - Taxman replies to EstherDThey ate for-profit. By the way, ANYONE can buy a .org domain name (website). You or I could. Dirty companies like GoDaddy get rich buying up thousands of desirable-sounding web address...eventually, when someone wants to be fresh asparagus.org, for example, they find the name already taken, and the GoDaddy type of company says ha ha ha, we already own that name! Um, but we'd be happy to sell the domain name to ya -- for, say, $100,000, you big chump! That's really how it works. In fact, that's exactly what some if these fake petfinding scams do -- they buy up scads of cute doggy/kitty website names and fill them with made-up braggadocio, sentimentality, sales pitches and testimonials. They sometimes impersonate magazines, shelters, and legit petowner blogs, and look perfectly real. They provide links to real helping groups, like the humane society etc. -- but anyone can do that! Research it, if you've never built your own website. You don't need permission and the linked-to humane site may well not notice, that they're receiving some incoming traffic (that means, YOUR CLICKS) steered their way from crooks. OK?
- Evelynn replies to Rough timesPerfect example if what the internet experts call "domain-squatters" who, just like real bums and junkies who squat in empty houses do, conduct their skanky crimes there. Don't visit these websites any more than you would a spooky, boarded up house with unfamiliar weirdos scurrying around inside. You will be robbed, abused, stuck (knife dick or needle). Stay away!!!!!!!!
- Batgirl replies to DougScam artists use stupid SEO's (Search Engine Optimizers, a kind of dishonest computer program) to try and trick real companies like Google, Bing, Yahoo, so that the bullshot criminal "websites" pop up first among the Results if your innocent and trusting search. In the olden days, snake oil salesmen had to travel from town to town looking for easy marks...NOW gullible or naive victims come to them online for free with no effort! Don't you be one.
- Arturian replies to MattAndrewsHere's a better idea: call the FBI and let them know if anyone is masquerading as an Amber Alert.
- Lurine DeMaccio replies to Sarah| 1 replySarah, my dear, you are a little criminal. And mean. You despise animals. You despise people. You rip them off. You post crap lies on legitimate websites like this. Turn yourself in and squeal in your shady cohorts. Do it now.
