- Morgan5/5/2015 Saturday at 4:00PM received a call from that reads "118778180060 NAME NOT FOUND"
answered the phone to an automatically recorded message playing about reward for a lost log with phone number to call.
This call was a spoofed number from the actual owner of the number to be placed on the caller id to appear. These are a group of bogus callers coming from out side the untied states. This actual caller was traced as well with "201 243-4141 CONSUMER SVCS", "425 412-8426 OUT OF AREA" originating from Novosibirsk Russia! - Arthur Rushing| 1 replyI am on do not call list and this call is unlawful and do not want to get another! I could care less about helping find a lost dog!

- CarolHad a message on my machine and unlike most of the other posts regarding this number, it was about a lost cat and referred me to lostmykitty.com. Caller ID just said "name unknown". The cat was lost over a month ago, so the call was really useless as far as alerting me to helping find it. I live in a heavily wooded area, so it is highly likely a wild animal has already found the cat in that length of time.
- WilliamI got a call from this number, waited three rings, said nothing. Very quickly an fast-talking and extremely irritating female voice said it was from "lostmydoggie" and talked about the loss of a large dog more than four large blocks away from my street - on a moderately busy street that has a lot of traffic during the day.

As my telephone number has been in printed telephone directories for several years, I am not surprised that I would get a call that is directed to the occupants of this neighborhood. However, a large number of people in my neighborhood have only cell phones and thus are not listed in an directory. This includes two long-time homeowners who live on my block, they dropped their landlines a few years ago, and hundreds of college students.
I object to the CNAM containing no information as to the owner of the number being used to make this call.
It is a business call, therefore there should be a business name given.
I also object to the nearly immediate yapping done by the irritating voice. It doesn't give an cassette-tape answering machine time to start its outgoing message, so when the recording begins, much of the announcement will be truncated.
When I think about how irritating the voice was, maybe that was the reason the dog ran away.
The voice was not worried or sad.

- RobertJust got a call from this number, and it left a recording looking for a lost dog. I have seen posters here in the neighborhood looking for this dog, so I am not nearly as bothered about this as other people on this board seem to be. I am much more annoyed by the 'amber alerts' on my mobile phone involving child custody spats.

- Sunflower| 1 replyJust got a call about finding a lost dog - what the heck is this all about - seems like a scam. The # is 877-818-0060 and the caller id name just says 800 service.
- CWG40 replies to SunflowerMy understanding is that if you put out an ad somewhere that the animal is missing, the scammer will call and claim to have found the animal and paid for vet care and will ask you to wire money to the caller to cover the costs of care. Or something along those lines. In other cases grouops claiming to be the business of finding lost pets will contact you and ask for you to sign up for their service. Of course all they want is a CC# and who knows what they will do after that.
