If u guys take the time to look others messages :

To make these calls stop, Dial:
    1-800-361-6665 SEARS

    Press 1 for English
Press 0 to speak to an actual person

Tell them you have been receiving unsolicited calls from 877-889-2024, they will verify some personal info and let you know why they have been calling (probably warranty expiring).  Let them know that you are not interested in extended warranty, and that you wish to be removed from their calling list (takes about 5 mins).

    Cheers All

Received many calls from 1-877-889-2024 - they call 3-4 times per day, don't leave messages, etc... today I called the number directly and it was Sears - I went through the steps to speak to a representative and once a live person answered I told them what was happening and that I wanted my name and number removed from their list.  He said he could help me, asked a few basic questions and within about 30 second said I was removed...  We'll see!

Thanks for the advice! I did the following:

    Called
    1-800-361-6665
    Press 1 for English
Press 2 to speak to an actual person (0 is no longer an option)

Gave them my phone number, told them I wasn't interested in the ext. warranty. Took about 60 seconds.

It is SEARS CANADA...It's a legal phone call... I just bought a washer and dryer from them and they called to see if i wanted an extended warranty for 3 years that if I had no problems with it they'd reimburse me by credit or cheque  to spend as I please... Now I know this is not a scam because the store I bought it from , the owner told me the same thing but I declined...If you have ever had a Sears card or filled out anything with your phone # on it then they are giving you a chance for better deals... You can answer and just say your not interested and the calls will stop. You can also request they not call you and they will comply .

This number has been calling me for a few weeks, at least thanks to this thread I now know who it is.  We used Sears to fix our refrigerator a few weeks ago so I guess we are on "the list" now.  Oh well at least Sears is a legit company that seems do honour do not call requests.  I'll call them back later and ask to be put on their internal do not call list.

This number calls 2 times a day.....EVERY day!

I got fed up and called them back....I told the Sears representative to take me off their call list.

I have never purchased an appliance through Sears nor do I plan to, so why are they calling me about purchasing an extended warrant???

I use to own a Sears credit card and ended up putting it through my paper shredder when Sears started calling me every day to buy insurance.I believe they take your personal information (phone number) from the credit card application in order  to contact you.

HELLO SEARS.....this is not the way to get business or money from people!!

After telling Sears that I wanted to be put on the No Call List.....they still call.....

So what I did was:  Dial *60 on my phone and then I  pressed the # sign, then the digits 01, then the # sign again.....THIS AUTOMATICALLY BLOCKS THE LAST NUMBER FROM CALLING YOU again. This is a Bell Service that is free of charge. You can block up to 12 numbers from calling you, plus you can erase numbers and add numbers to that list at will....free of charge....

    Silence at last!!

    Very dissapointed customer
several times a week we get a call from this number only to find that when we pick up there is no one at the other end. to say it is frustating is very mild, however we now know it is Sears and after 40 years of trading with them I am sorry to say that their constant invasion of privacy and wasting of our time. It is time to look else where for goods that we require.

SEARS again about the warranty. Not every day, but once a month for the past year. Each time I tell them not to call, we're happy with what we have. They say I'm off the list but to wait thirty days. Strangely, I don't hear from them again until next month!

Okay, it may be a legit call. But for heaven's sake, why not just leave a message?  If we're interested, we'll call back - it's that simple. With many folks having call display and the endless nuisance calls we all get, it's no wonder we don't pick up an unknown, long distance call. I'm sick of running for the phone all day and night, only to have it be an "unknown" number, which I won't pick up. Leaving a simple message would stop this.

Thanks to this site, I called Sears & was put on their "do not call" list.  They said they'd called about extending the warranty on our fridge ( we didn't have one in the first place on our 13 year old fridge) but all we actually got were dead air calls - over & over & over again.  I said I was tired of the dead-air calls & I wanted the calls to stop and NO we would NOT be taking out a warranty on the fridge.  So they've been told.  If they call again, I'll complain to the national no-call registry.  Thanks to the person who figured this out & posted the information.

Well, many of your posts are from 2008, continuing through 2010.  Here I am in 2012, with the same problem.  And when I followed the advice of previous posts and contacted Sears Head Office- guess what.  They "apparently" are still having issues with their system and it is "dialing without a voice coming through once answered".  Hmmm.  So 4 years later the system is still "broken"?  Unlikely.
