Thanks for the information I have been getting those annoying phone calls as well but did not know it was sears. wil call the number that was listed above to get my number removed form their mailing list. Some days they call 3 or 4 times with no one on the other end. they call around the same time every day. I put my phone on speaker and said officer have you traced the call. maybe they won't call again now! But i am still calling to have my number taken off of the list anyway.

yep - it is Sears. Been getting 1 - 2 per day for 2 weeks. Called the 1-800-361-6665 # as listed above, they confirmed that the problem stems from their warranty programs, and agreed to remove my # from their list.

I had the same experience.  I called Sears and they removed me from the calling list   - it was regarding an extended warranty

I have been getting 2-3 call a day on my office and home phones.  Finally answered - dead air.  It was as you guys have said Sears maintainance agreement department.  

I called them and they removed my numbers. I asked how they got my numbers and they said it was a washer I bought which was true and the warrenty was running out.  I asked them why I and several others got dead air.  She replied that the system was old and they were updating it - right. Million  dollar company and they have a mickey mouse system.

That number called twice last week. I don't understand why they don't show Sears with their telephone number on why they don't leave a message to call back for renewal of the Maintenance Agreement. My calls are screened and if they don't ID themselves, too bad. They lose business due to their poor
practice. I do have a Maintenance Agreement with them.

This number 1877-889-2024 has been calling me at least 4-6 times a day 7 days a week for the past 2 weeks!
it's bothering my life! i answered one time and this woman picked up asking for a Michelle, and there's no one called michelle here!!!
then i answered a couple of times after, dead air, like everyone else!

thank god for this site, i just finished calling Sears Customer Advocacy Department at 1-866-491-2247
and they said that my number wasn't on their actual list...but the woman said they might be also calling because you've had something done by Sears, like for me it's the roof, or they might call if you have a sears card...

So anyways, they removed all my numbers, home and cell, and hopefully they'll never call again because it's so frustrating to call that frequently and with no one answering!!! let's see if they call for the nxt couple of days...

I just had the same issue and called the Sears number and yahooo!!! my number is going to be deleted off their list!

It's me again, I already called the Sears number on Feb.22nd and they said it'll take about 2 weeks to fully get my # off their call lists...but it's now Mar.16th, it has been 3 weeks, almost another month and they're still calling me at least twice a day, 5-6 days a week...

im calling Sears again, i dn't understand why they're still calling if my # is supposedly off the list now! I can memorize their number by now that's how annoying it is!!!!

Hey there!  877-889-2024 has been calling both my home number as well as my cell phone number for longer than I'd want to admit.  In the beginning I answered my home phone to hear only dead air on the other end; then I simply stopped answering it at all.  I chose no to answer when the number appeared  on my cell phone.  The calls kept coming anyways over and over again repeatedly, redundantly, and repulsively.  Finally I got the brilliant idea to check it out on the internet and found this site.  I read the posts and decided to call the number provided by RB a few minutes ago.  
The rep said it was refering to the microwave oven my dad had bought us from Sears in 2006; she promised to take my number off the list.  When I told her that my cell was also being called (I've had that number for about a year now) she checked my number against the "list" and did not find; but when she checked the number online it came up as a number registered to an address I've no clue about!  That is creepy as Hell!  She wrote a note about this for her superiors and promised to remove my home number from the list and to look into my cell phone number issue. She seemed forthright; hope she was.

This is Sears calling to sell you an extended warranty on crap purchased from them.

I called today to have them remove me from their 'automated dialer':  1-800-361-6665...and then press 2 for the Protection Agreement Department.  I had to give the woman my name and phone # and she was aware of what I'd purchased at Sears and said they had a "new extended warranty" to offer me.  I told her I wasn't interested and to remove my # from their list, which she supposedly did...time will tell.

I will no longer be purchasing anything from Sears!!!

I also received a couple of dead-air calls and called Sears directly.  It was to do with offering me extended warranty on a table saw I recently purchased.  It came with a 2 year warranty as it was, and for almost the exact replacement price of a new saw...they would provide unlimited service calls and on-site service !!!  I requested to have all future correspondence from sears done my postal mail.  The gentleman who took the call was very curteous, confirmed my postal address, and assured me no further calls would be forthcoming.

I have been getting the same call every night at 8pm. I just called the advocacy number and they said they would remove us. I will give them until Saturday and then if I still get calls I will be going down to our local Sears a yelling loudly. We don't even shop there. This is not good business practise.

they asked for my name ... not gonna give them my name so they can add to their little database
i will call the rcmp the next time i get a call from that number at this time of the night there are laws
against that in this province perhaps the cops should enforce some of this and spend less time
giving seatbelt tickets

I continually get this call also. We purchased a fridge in Sept. they started calling in Oct. wondering if we wanted to buy 'spoiled food warranty' in case our fridge gave out, they would replace all the food. I kindly said no thank you, we are not interested. Apparently, that don't work tho, they call and call and call 2-3 times per day EVERY day. I really cannot see them replacing food anyway.

Thanks that number worked and you were right. it was for mfg's warranty on a a appliance that was running out. The person told me that sears was suppose to leave a message or talk to a live person.
Maybe Sears should check their system befor they lose what customers they have left.
