- Go replies to DMI received the same exact message today from a “Katie” definitely a scam call.
- Amanda D.I too received call, which rang once & went to voicemail. The message left was of a woman with a very sing-song voice saying her name was Katie & she was calling about the factory warranty on my car. (Which was purchased new in 2009 & now has close to 150,000 miles on it). She goes on to say that she isn't sure why she hasn't heard back from me yet, as "we've" left several messages & sent a few mailers to my home. Then she says that it's important to speak to me today in order to keep my file open, telling me to call her back at "one, triple eight, two one eight, zero eight zero four" even though the call was from 574-319-7588 & indicated on my caller ID as being from Indiana. There were a few "ums" in the message & once even stuttered on a word. The message concludes with, "And I hope we can connect soon. Bye for now!" She sounds so sugary sweet my fillings actually ached having to listen to the message several times in order to write down what she said, word for word. This is such a scam and aggravates me because I am on the national DO NOT CALL registry, and have been for over 15 years!
- Caller: Katie at unknown company regarding factory auto warranty
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- AmandaDon’t bother calling them back it’s a scam and they’re extremely rude and unprofessional. They left me a voicemail and didn’t state what company they were from only that it was “Katie” calling and it was regarding a factory warranty. I called the 888 number she left me on my voicemail. The woman that answered hung up on me and said they were looking for a Robert. When I told her there was no Robert she hung up on me. Never stated what company it was when she answered. Total scam
- Caller: “Katie” didn’t state a company name

- John doeTrying to sell auto extended warranty under false pretenses.
- RonI got a call from caller ID 224-407-2303, the number on the voicemail was 223-204-5083. She said that she has mailed several things to me (she hasn't!) and called multiple times (she hasn't!) and "not sure why I haven't called back". She said that she needed to speak with me today to "keep my account open" and I should call her back at 888-218-0804 (I didn't!). Why would I waste my time with her when a Prince from Nigeria is going to send me $2 million? :-)
