Scam call about my car warranty.  Don't fall for it.

Got the same VM from Katie. I called the number back to find out which vehicle they were talking about. They said which vehicle has a warranty running out. I told them I just bought a brand new 2021 SUV 4 months ago and bought an extended warranty from the dealer. The guy said I was yelling at him. I probably was. Then he hung up.

Calling re vehicle factory warranty. Said they called and mailed and must hear from me

Received clipped message, but the wording was the same - Katie....call 888-218-0804....Hope to hear from you today or you will be dropped...Bye now!  I actually did call back today.  Classical music played for about 2-3 minutes then a male sounding voice answered and said:  "you've actually dialed the wrong number and will be placed on our Do Not Call List."  Then he hung up on me.

Same voice mail msg from Katie that other people have mentioned.  I can't believe there's anyone these days who doesn't know this is some kind of scam!  That's almost funny.

Got a call from "Katie" (called from 949-989-5905) about my car warranty & wanting to know why I haven't returned "our" calls or responding to notices. Instructed to call a different no.

Just a heads up, they have information.  They knew my mom's name.  So if they know who you are, they probably have your families name.  HEY FCC!  Let's shut this one down!  I tend to call back and get aggressive with them and the guy gave it right back.  He was pretty good too.  They speak perfect english so they are in the states for sure.

I got same, voice mail when the phone did not even ring.  Msg was cut off at the beginning, just saying needed to speak to me today to keep my file open.   Close it please!

The call came from a (949) area code but the caller asked me to call back the 888 number. Said her name was Katie she was calling about my car's factory warranty. Said they had sent out several mailers. I needed to call back right away. The message was too vague to believe, caller didn't identify where they were calling from or who they wanted to talk too, nor did they state which vehicle they were calling about. Has scam written all over it.

Received call from a restricted #.  Left message from Katie stating they had sent several mailers & made several attempts to contact regarding my vehicle warranty & that I must call back.  Being curious, I called the 888-218-0804 # that was left.  Talked to Spencer, he asked for my vehicle information.  I stated they called me & left the message they should know which vehicle in question.  He immediately said "let me transfer you to my supervisor".  I was put on hold for about 30 seconds & Shannon (female) came on the line.  She asked me to verify my make & model.  I asked her which manufacture she was calling, she stated American Auto Warranty.  I stated that all my vehicles were under manufacturer's warranty so I needed to know which one she was calling about.  She was very rude & asked what make & model do we have?  Again I stated they are under warranty.  She hung up.

I keep getting these scam warranty calls for a car I haven't owned for 8 years. 949-989-5905 was the original call number, at 11:45 at night! A young-sounding woman, likely on tape, said to call her back at 888-218-0804 in a voicemail. Same wording as Adrian's report above.

I get voice mails about warranties on a car, and I haven't owned a car in years.  They try to make it sound as if we've spoken before, and it's obviously a scam.  The reason they keep doing this is the phone calls are free, just like emails, and a certain percentage of people will respond.  Never call back, that just confirms that your number is working, and they will keep calling.

888-218-0804 is used car warranty scam. "Yours is expiring" Whats my policy number? Dunno.  What kinds of cars, dunno. Scammers.

Very rude and would not let me call my dealership where I bought my vehicle. It was 295 then he went down to 195. He told my my warranty had expired and I should have gotten it in the mail a letter about this and that I had not replayed so my warranty was cancelled.

How did he stop you from hanging the phone up and then calling the dealership?

Just had a message on my cell saying they don't know why they haven't heard back from me and to call them soon. Nope, not doing it!
