To Brenda and anyone else who thinks that FPA is not on the UP & UP)
    :
    You are sadly MISTAKEN!
FPA (Federal Procurement Agency) is not a SCAM!  I know this for a FACT.  I personally take this accusation as an INSULT.  I have been with the company 9 years. We say and do the Right thing.  We always tell the business owners that "WE ARE NOT A FEDERAL AGENCY, WE ARE A SMALL BUSINESS WHO SUPPLIES FEDERAL BUYERS WITH SMALL BUSINESSES THAT THEY NEED TO DO BUSINESS WITH THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
We are required to speak with the owners or presidents of the company . They are the main decisionmakers

I actually signed up with them 6 months ago and have not received one fax or phone call from any government agency yet. I called FPAguide and asked for a refund and was told they do not give refunds.

They told me that i did receive 4 faxes from the army corp of engineers. I asked them to email me proof that i received the faxes but they could not produce anything. I then called the army corp of engineers in Corpus Christi, TX  where they said one of the faxes came from. I talked to the person that does there ordering and they told me that they only go through there own system and would never use an independent site like FPAguide.

I also found out that they are owned by a doctor that has set up several scam companies in Florida.

They are a huge scam and i advise not to sign up with them.

I got two calls from Federal Procurement Agency.  According to the caller 'Frank' this is a 'lising' of no more than four small businesses per category that the Federal Government utilizes for services costing less than $5,000.  Someone please tell me, why the Feds would need me to pay $500.00 per year to be on this listing.  It doesn't appear to be anything more than a yellow pages-type system.  I pay to be on the list and, the Federal Government utilized my services instead of my neighbor?  This doesn't make sense.  Beyond the questions about annual revenue, there doesn't appear to be any screening in order to get onto this list.  I'm doing more research, but this doesn't sound legit to me.... anyone else feel the same?

I got a call also from this company. Wanted to talk to the prez or owner. I told him our company is a Inc. He was like wow how did you get on my list. I said you tell me, you called me. It's a scam people. No good can come from it. All I heard in the background was a call center so I know it's useless.

    almost scammed
I almost believed the telemarketer. However, when  I asked him why, if I didn't make at least $500 the first year, I would want to run the ad for a second year?  He didn't have an answer.  There is no money back guarantee.  The bad news is: you don't get your money's worth.  The good news is:  you get to do it for two years. :)        Sounds like a bad deal to me.

I also heard the call center noise in the background which alerted me that I wasn't as special as he said I was.  I'm sure when I said no, he just went to the next "prospect" on his list.  I hope they make a pretty good wage as a telemarketer because anyone who has any business sense would be suspicious of this and walk away and there would not be a nice commission.

Went of the Department of Defense website.  No Federal Procurement Agency to be found. HMMMM.

    Think long and hard people.....

If it were not a scam you would not be screaming! Got the same sales call I get everyday. After so many times to telling them the owner is not available wouldn't you think they would get the drift and stop calling? Guess they are not to smart!

I just got off the phone with a representative from FPA who scheduled a phone meeting tomorrow with an agency specialist.  Knowing nothing about this company, I Googled them and found this blog.  Now I am leary to spend any money with them.

I don't believe you replies to TS
You say that you inform business' that you are not a federal agency but a small business, etc.
    Yah, right.
I had  been contacted by this company in the past and had my suspicions about their legitimacy, so when I was contacted by them again I asked a few, or shall I say I TRIED to ask a few questions about the company. I couldn't get the representative (Craig) to give me a straight answer. He definitely tried to give me the impression that FPA is a government agency, or is a department thereof. When I tried to pin him down on details of the company and its services he became very ambiguous in his answers. He didn't want to tell me what FPA stands for and tried to avoid giving me a detailed description of its services. He was quite rude when I started asking him questions and kept telling me that was not his department.
If anyone else is contacted by this company I would advise you to do some research before making any decisions or comitments.
