I have two charges to this number.  Both came the day after I travelled on the Washington State Ferry and used BOINGO to connect my computer to the Internet.

Hi Kay,  hopefully you've already resolved this but it not does your mother have a cell phone thru Verizon? If yes were the amounts applied to her account?  If no then these are unauthorized which means you'd have to file a claim thru your mother's credit card company since they are fraudlent.  I'm not sure how far back they will go.  You might be able to file a police report which will come in handy when you file the claim.  I've had the same problem with my checking account. These were unauthorized transactions and I'm currently filing a claim.  Hope all works out for your mother!

You are absolutely right! Verizon does not care and will not help!! Fortunately I was only charged 25 and 15 on two occasions. I called my credit card company and the card was cancelled and they will issue me a new card and give me a credit. I do not have a verizon wireless phone. I used my credit card to pay for a funeral and the next day these charges show up. I had not used this card before this in over two years. I have to feel strongly that someone at this mortuary used it.

Just had this crap happen to me today. I've only used my cc one time during the past several months, and it was from Amazon.com. It seems to be a recurring theme.

I was recently hit with 3 charges: 15.95, 15.95, and 21.26 on my bank account from VZWRLSS*PREPAID OT 888-294-6804 CA VZWRLSS*PREPAID.  I contacted my bank and they said they were just pre-authorize transactions and would just 'fall off' of my account, well they didn't.  When the first transaction posted I went to my bank and cancelled my debit card then filled out an affidavit confirming that I did not make the transaction. Over the next two days the other two posted and I filled out affidavits for those.  My bank did not credit back the money to my account. They said they would submit the paperwork to Verizon and it may be up to 6 months before I could potentially get my money back. I too had my debit card info saved to my account with Amazon.com. The money that is being stolen from us is being deposited into an account somewhere and I would think it shouldn't be too hard to follow the money trail to that account and make some arrests.

Just happend to me to day Verizon hit my bank acct. in the amount of 418.71. They tried to withdraw the 418.71 yesterday and it wouldnt go thru and then tried 443.71 adding a 25.00 fee for not letting the 418.71 clear, I caught it while it was in a pending status, my bank told me they would remove it as they did while I watched on line, and today they pushed it on thru for the 418.71. Im contacting the U.S. District Attys. office in the morning and have talked to a friend about this he said if enough people got on board there could be a class action case against Verizon. Im realy aggrevated at Verizon's outlook on this, as they told me they couldnt help me with out an atty. Well I have one. If I get enough response I will leave an email add. to contact me We cant let the big V get fat on our money because they get to keep the money guys.

Just got my purse stolen last week in Tacoma, WA. I couldn't figure out what "VRZNWRLSS PREPAID OT" on my stolen credit card (I closed all my cards wihtin 30 minutes from when my purse was stolen and filed a police report). I called Verizon to ask them what these charges were and they couldn't tell me - they claimed they didn't know and gave me the phone number of the fraud department.  I am calling their fraud department tomorrow.  I had to look up "Prepaid OT" online as Ask.com (this site) to figure out what those charges were and found the link to this Ask blog.  I am in shock that there are so many complaints and that the person who claims to be a Verizon Rep is full of crap.  I do use the same account to pay my bill, but don't think they are related.  I think the person who stole my purse is a professional and knows exactly what vendors, such as Verizon, to use to get the most of their new found stolen booty.

Just talked to Sandra of Verizon while tracking down a much overdue rebate card. Seems it was mailed and someone used it on 11/17, and 11/18. One purchase was for a v prepaid card #888-294-6804. Sandra (verizon) apparently has no knowledge of this #,so I'm stunned at the # of victims it has claimed. All I can do it file a fraud report.

Got hit for $267 and change from VRZWRLSS PREPAID OT FOLSOM. I've cancelled the card and filed a dispute with my bank over the charge. I also printed out all the complaints on this website which I've presented to the bank. I did a search for "VRZWRLSS PREPAID OT FOLSOM" which is how I found this board.

Same has happened to me 2 days ago.  I caught it right after verizon tried charging my prepaid credit card 4 times.  $1, $37, $1, $16.25, all the dumb B**** would say was there is nothing she could do without a phone # which wasn't on my statement.  I don't have verizon I have cricket phone service so then she starts telling me I need to talk to them and I told her I am not stupid, I can read it says verizon on my statement and she cuts me off and connects me to them. between greendot prepaid credit card and verizon they just keep sending me in circles after a couple of hours I had 2 more attemps made to charge my card again after I loaded $20 more on itthey got the $1 charge but the $16.25 they attempted to charge again didn't go through a second time.  There has to be a way to get our money back from theis b***s**& company.

I didn't get a call but someone withdrew money from my daughters debit/checking account while she is at college.  The statement reads Verizon Wireless Prepaid, Focus, Ca.  How did they ever get the account.  This was done on 2 different days back to back and the same amount.  We notified the authorities.  Something will be done.
