- JIndian speaking man said he was from Dish TV and that my dish receiver is a very old model and it needed to be swapped out for a newer one. I told him I was aware of the scam. He claimed that this wasn't a scam and that a real Dish tech would come out "in uniform and everything" to swap it out. Told him that would be fine since I'm at home quarantining. He quickly said, "have a nice day" and hung up.
