I received two of the calls in the last two days .... stating this is an attempt to collect a debt and to call Ron Jackson and reference 474033 ... I don't have any outstanding debts i'm not aware of.  I did a search for ALW Sourcing LLC and found this website.  Is this bogus? or a scam?

Same thing, says they are attempting to collect on a debt.  We have no outstanding past-due debts either.  It's a recording because while the outgoing message was playing, the caller was already leaving a message.

These people started calling us a few days ago and have been calling us everyday since then. It is never a live person, just the stupid recording. I did call them back at the request of my husband and these people try to tell us that we owed money from 17 years ago. They asked us for information which were weren't willing to give and we told them that we didn't owe anyone any money and that they need to stop calling us. The lady said that we should be receiving a letter in the mail explainingf the entire situation. As of yet we have received no letter, just annoying phone calls~!

Apparently this is a scam and they are trying to take advantage of people. Maybe if enough people report this company to "Do Not Call" list or BBB they will do something about these people harrassing us at home.

I get the same calls, and I know I don't owe any money because I have never owned a credit card, debit card, or anything other than an ATM Card which has been used all of once.

I saw this number on my caller ID when I got home from work.  I called them back and they said they were calling to collect a debt from Citibank Visa.  I have never had a citibank visa card.  Tha lady never even mentioned my last name, she only asked for my first name.  I told her that I had never had a citibank card, she then rattled off the last four digits of my social security number (SCARY!!!!) and the wrong birthdate.  I don't know what these people are up to but..................... I have been on the do not call list for two years and they still make it thru.

I've received four automated messages in the past five days. I picked up the phone for the first call and received the recorded message. The next three messages -- identical to the first -- were left on my answering machine.

The message simply tells me that the company is required by law to say this is a debt collection company calling and that information gathered will be used to collect a debt. The woman's voice doesn't identify the individual for whom she's calling. She doesn't share any information about the debt in question.

I have no reason to think the calls are intended for me. If the company even knows my name, it hasn't bothered to use it. The fact that the company doesn't have a live person calling (or at least available to jump on the phone when they have me on the phone) makes me suspicious and annoyed. I would think a legitimate company would have better business practices.

If these calls continue beyond this week, I'll pursue a formal complaint.

VERY STRANGE PHONE CALL FROM THIS PHONE NUMBER, IT WAS A RECORDING...AND CLAIMED TO BE "ALW SOURCING LLC DEBT COLLECTION CO.".  SAID OUR CO. NEEDED TO CALL THEM BACK BECAUSE WE HAVE SOME TYPE OF DEBT TO PAY.  SOUNDED EXTREMELY SUSPICIOUS AND I AM ALMOST POSITIVE IT'S SOME TYPE OF SCAM!!! ALSO ITS KIND OF WEIRD AND QUITE UNPROFESSIONAL TO BE CALLING ANYONE ON A SATURDAY MORNING...8AM!!!

My guess is that YOU are one of these collection scumbags.  MOST of these collection agencies are trying to reactiviate dead bills by getting the unwary and uninformed to agree to pay.  This is certainly NOT helpful for the victim because he or she then has a reactivated bill to pay.  The Only advice is not not play and dont talk and sue the collection agency for any dead bills they try to apply to your credit.  YOU WILL WIN THAT LAWSUIT!

YOU are a liar!  YOU are the collection agency as can be seen on your caller id number!  Here is the best thing you can do-Go completely and utterly out of business!  Do not believe these peopel on anything.  They are not friends-they are predators!

I get a recorded call at least 4 times a day, every day including weekends from this number.Blah blah please call  back with refterence number. It never says who they are calling for, just to give them that number.  I just recently got rid of one collector but they did say a name and repeatedly they were told for a year that they have the wrong person at this number. Finally when I demanded a Superviser, and demanded that they Not hang up on me, they finally stopped. Now Im thinking that this company has bought that persons debt and they are starting all over again. So, Im leary of calling them back,again, dealing with the hangups because I wont give them my personal information, they refuse to tell me the person they are calling for even with the reference number and they want my information first. If any of you know how to find who they are calling for with out giving personal information our first please...let me know.

I got the same phone call as BO ! As you can see from previous post. Its Rediculous!

The is a call for a collection debt.  The law requires to contact you.
It is always a recording.  Never ask for a name, but leave messages all
hours of the day.  Even when we are here, it is always a message.

APPARENTLY AGENCY IS ATTEMPTING TO GAIN INFORMATION ABOUT A DEBTOR THEY SEEM TO THINK I KNOW. CALLS ARE AT POINT OF HARRASSMENT..WILL REPORT TO
ALW SOURCING TO DONOTCALL COMPLIANT LINE: STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND FEDERAL TRADE COMMISSION.  IT IS REALLY UNACCEPTABLE THAT A NON DEBTOR CAN BE TARGETED FOR THIS TYPE OF HARRASSMENT.

At 9:45 a.m. I received a call with a recorded message about this being an attempt to collect a debt.  Told me to call 888-379-4884.  Since I was curious to know what debt I was supposed to owe(I do not have any in collection to my knowledge), I called the number.  Recorded message said if I knew my party's extension put it in.  I waited a few minutes and a girl came on the phone and said This message may be monitored.  I told her I knew of no debt I had and wanted to know how they got my #.  She said what is your #?  I told her.  She said are you ??????.  I said no.  She said she would take my information out of the system.  I hung up.  The more I thought about it, the more I wanted to know.  I called back.  Got all the same messages.  Got the same girl.  Made me suspicious if it was a big company that I would get the same girl.  I told her I was upset and wanted to know how they got my # and what information was she taking out.  She said your phone number.  I said how could this happen.  When I told you my # you said yes that's right, and gave me a name I had never heard of.  She became defensive and said, maybe we dialed the wrong #.  I said no, you told me this is the # your were dialing.  Defensive again, she said, This has no impact on you and you shouldn't worry. Everyon makes mistakes.  Don't you make them sometimes.  I said "Well, it better not have any impact on me."  We ended the conversation and I hung up. Sure looks like someone trying to scam someone.

This is good advice BUT you cannot successfully complain against collectors on the No call list. They are exempt. In order to stop the calls you must send a certified mail cease and desist letter as found on budhibbs.com (it's free). Do it and demand validation/verification of the debt. 90 percent of collectors dont have the proof to send you so they just go away. If they dont then sue them under the FDCPA. See naca.net for attys who will sue on your behalf.
