We got a recorded message referencing 754667 and the we needed to call the number.  We owe nothing.

You must work for them. They sent me a notice I responded asking for proof and validation and neve hear from them again.

Ok Funny Man, we are not laughing. Everyone here knows you are a debt collector. Everyone also knows if they send a written demand for proof that you must respond within 30 days or you cant bother us anymore. Everyone further knows they can stop you from calling by demanding that you cease and desist all further collection activity in writing. So who is laughing now Funny Man. The only thing that is really funny is when you lose your BS collection job and have to live under a bridge. Now THAT is FUNNY....MAN!

I have been a victim of this company also. Know your rights. Do a web search for ZOMBIE DEBT COLLECTORS!!!! in google. You will be surprised. Going to donot call wont get you anywhere because a stipulation there is anyone can call you even if you are on the list if you have done business with them in the last 6 months. They havent but they claim to represent the company in question therby circumventing the donotvall thingy. Send them a cease and desist letter cc your lawyer and the state attorney general in your state. If they continue to harass you sue them in small claims court. Yeah right what you mean is they decide they cant get the blood out of the turnip then they sell the paper to another bloodsucker like your boss and the cycle starts all over again. The company issuing the credit has deemed these debt as uncollectable. Some are fraudulent (identity theft and the like) the they write them off and take a tax break. Then they sell them to parasites like the guys you work for to harass people. You pay 1 to 3 cents on a dollar for the paper. Look up the word parasite in the dictionary and these people should be there.

I get these harassing calls everyday.  Do not owe anyone anything.  LLC  Leave me alone!!!!!!!!

DO NOT REPLY EVEN IF YOU HAVE A DEPT FROM YEARS AGO!! Once you answer they can go after you and place that old collection back on your report! And that can realy effect your report. Why have your report affected twice. Also they can go after you for any other unpaid depts taht they can find, they canand will go after you for those too! Best advise dont give in to their evil ways, collectors do not give a rats [***] about you. Yes, you may owe from the past all this company does is purchase a old dept from years ago and I mean years ago for pennies on the dollar. So in reality their not out the money. And I'am sure the collectors are only paid when they collect. SO PLEASE DO NOT FUND THIS COMPANY. AND THEN MAYBE WE CAN ONLY HOPE THEY HAVE COLLECTERS AFTER THEM. LOL!!!

well that depends how old was yours because mines was from 2000 and they pulled the documents and mailed to me crtified return reciept requested.

"Yes, they call you.... but that's because you owe money... wouldn't you call someone who owes you money?  Just give them a call - they'll listen and work with you."

AWL called my elderly parent's home with this non-sense! My parent's have absolutely no debt and pay cash for EVERYTHING! They have never had a credit report that was anything but immaculate. They were so out done that they have reported the harrassing calls to out State Attorney General's Office for investigation.

Contact your local Bureau of Consumer Protection (BCP) to file a complaint against this company for harrassing phone calls.  Also contact your local State Representative and ask what he/she's going to do to stop this harrassment.  Remeber, your BCP enforces the laws, but the the state reps create them.  If there's no law in place to stop these calls, then there's nothing for my office to enforce.

Is it possible to contact to pay you debt with the original company even after they sold your debt to an agency?

They are getting your phone number and asking for the wrong last name because they are using Google to search the address that a previous owner/tenant at your residence had.  Your number pops up (if it is listed) when the do the Google search.  Call them back with the reference ID number and have your name removed from their database.  It is only time until you get another call from a different debt collection agency looking for the previous tenant.

They have called me every day for the past TWO YEARS. All of my debts are timely paid. Calling them back gets me nowhere; I refuse to give them any personal information. The only escape I have is to turn off my answering machine. It's driving me CRAZY! It's clearly a pre-recorded message. I don't know what to do.

DC [and the others who think they can con us into believing these calls are so caring], if what you say is true, then explain how all these people were treated with rudeness and disrespect from ALW? Why do they continually call the same numbers when told there is no such a person there or they dont owe any debt to anyone?  If a person had that number say 10-20 years ago it is possible they dont have it now. And yes, some of these so-called debts are up to 20 years old or even more.  After 7 years a company writes it off and can not collect on it. These collection people just take old info from credit reports and try to scam money from others.

These scamers are nothing but having fun to harrass people, and that is why they do not talk live when they call, and just play the tape.  I bet they are listening themselves too.

Imagin how you feel when you want to say something and cannot finish the sentence.  Let them call, but don't let them finish the messages.  Pick up the phone and hang up.  

They lost interested in calling my number now.  Or I lost interest in giving them attention.  Haha..

ALW are scammers.  I was first receiving calls from NCO and when that ended I started receiving them from ALW.  I just let them go to the answering machine and never return the call.  Bottom line is that if they have a legitimate claim all they have to do is take me to court.  They are entitled to all cost plus the debt if they prevail in court.  If it turns out to be BS then I clean their clock for then on countersuit.  It is pretty obvious why they don't actually take the people to court.  No I don't have any outstanding bad debt and would love to see them in court if only they woul;d open the door.

OH WELL RON I AM CHANGING MY PHONE NUMBER TO A CELL AND DISCONNECTING THE NUMBER I HAVE FOR THE HOME. I THINK ILL CALL RON AND ADVISE HIM HE OWES ME A DEBT AND THIS IS AN ATTEMPT TO COLLECT THAT DEBT. HA HA HA THESE GUYS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN JERKS TRYING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY.
