I kept getting calls from Bill Me Later trying to collect for someone I'd never heard of.  After the telling them that I do not know this person, I do not use PayPal or eBay either I finally blocked their number.  I am of a "Tit for Tat" nature, so working at a print shop and living in North Hollywood I made a bunch of flyers for "Free Beer and a Free burger" at Paul Stanley and Gene Simmons (of KISS) new restaurant Rock & Brews in Buena Park, CA and put the aforementioned phone number.  I've put up about 70 of them around Hollywood so far.  I've also left a few hundred sitting around the various libraries at UCLA.

This number calls my house at least 3 times a day.

Unknown name on caller ID are unwelcome calls on cell... it is ludicrous and preposterous abuse of the caller to dial numbers at random and waste of resources from whomever caller works to justify hours worked and numbers called.

Number keeps calling, doesn't leave a message.  Answered once and claimed to be Paypal? That the name that appears on caller ID

Bill Me Later services from PayPal. They called to let me know there was a payment past due, which was a mistake. They fixed it and were very nice and helpful. I didn't give away any personal information, just in case it wasn't legit, but see the change has been made on my account.

I contacted PayPal about this phone number and got the following reply. (I deleted the person's name.)

Thank you for contacting PayPal Customer Support. My name is [****] and I am happy to assist you with your question.

The 888-393-7162 phone number is not a PayPal number. My suggestion would be to contact us directly so that we can discuss the details of the phone call.  We always suggest to not release any information if you are not comfortable with who you are speaking with.  You can always disconnect and contact PayPal directly.  We appreciate your communication to report this suspicious call.  We look forward to speaking with you.

This is a complete fraud! Do not answer the calls!

This is Bill me Later reminding me that I have a bill that is past due even though I've already paid it. Told them I already paid it and dont call me again.

They call me at  home  at  work

PayPay Express (used to be Bill Me Later). Also, DBA as Comenity Bank, Synochrisy) Several companies including Amazon (shop& save), Nordic Track, Nebraska Furniture Mart (HFM), Norm Thompson, and Younkers Dept. Store.  This company has purchased the Accounts Receivables from these accounts.  They pay the companies maybe 95%, then they collect the monies.  This is to cover the companies charges from Visa, MC, Discover or AE.  They make there money by charging the user (us).  First, they hold anything you order until the get your last payment even if the have it, this is because they haven't received the money.  This also means you can't use any Discounts in catalogs (they,ve expired by the time they get the money).  Then your payments are late (finance charge)" because your payment wasn't received from the original company.  The next call is please change were you send the payment.  Then again they don't get the payment another finance charge.  The come the telephone calls to pay the bill.  I received 8 calls in the last 5 days.  I know thy got the payment, I received a letter apologizing for call money had been received, but on the call a $5.00 late fee was applied.  Any way, take enough cash to prevent this to purchase.

Just look on google for the right spelling of the company names followed by bank.  If you don't spell name right google will have the it.  So many people checking.  The first I found was action from the FCIC for deceptive installment billing practices.

Calls have started coming thru only as "TOLL FREE CALLER".  I do not recognize the call so I will not pick up.  If it is a legitimate call then they will leave a message.  It was very interesting to read report from somebody about their interaction with PayPal and how this was not legitimate.  Yep, if they really need to contact somebody in this household then they will leave a message.  If calls continue...they will be blocked.

This number called me today. Said they were PayPal. (Not) I called PayPal and they said this wasn't a number associated with them. SCAM SCAM SCAM.

Received a call at 9AM today. Caller stated themselves as Bill Me Later. I do have an outstanding balance with them but have been making no less than 3x the minimum payment monthly, so I told them to pound sand and hung up.

This is Bill Me Later, which powers multiple sites such as paypal, newegg preferred, etc. Means you forgot to make a scheduled payment. They are annoying though they don't leave a message and calling back gets nowhere.
