If this is "Bill Me Later" calling, it must be a collection agency; as GE Financial has been sold, and no longer does business with PayPal. I had an insurance policy on my account, and they wouldn't pay my claim, after I was a victim of two violent assaults, one by a "preferred illegal immigrant" in Mexicalifornia. Screw them, I plan to file suit.

Bill me later is paypal

Got a call trying to collect, a real person saying it was Paypal and wanted to get payment.  she mentioned she could take payment direct from bank account and gave me the last four digits which were incorrect, when I told her this, she asked me to provide which I did not do.  I don't owe anything to paypal at this point.
This is a scam.

Multiple calls from 888-393-7162 listed on my phone.  Was finally able to talk to someone.  They claim $$$ is owed them which is completely FALSE.  Nothing is owed or due.  Amount is ridiculous.
They claimed 10 purchases of exact same amount of money was made on exact same day.  (Doesn't that tell them something's obviously wrong.)  And, they would not explain rest of bill - couldn't identify any purchases.  They had a false address.  (Generally, all mixed-up.)  They claimed they were pay pal.  I AM ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN this is a SCAM and will contact the authorities to investigate & look further into this.  Also seemed to recognize voice at other end of line as recent scammer playing another game - 'I won something or some such nonsense."  BEWARE OUT THERE!!!

I got this call today, I never answer any call if I do not know the party. Left no message. I assume some sort of spam or phishing. While others say its from "Bill Me Later"  my caller ID said PAYPAL. I am going to block this call like all the rest.

Unwanted call

We keep getting calls at the business and no one says anything.

Just called.  Caller ID said TOLL FREE CALLER.  A woman asked for Julia Steen.  I told her she had the wrong number.  She wished me a nice day and hung up.

Receiving 2 - 3 calls per day for the last two weeks from the number. Any time from early morning to late evening and they've never once left a voicemail. No outstanding debts or reasons for harassment. Presuming they're scumbags until they give a reason to think otherwise.

I have received a call from them every day this month.  Today was the first time there was another person on the line.  They said they were from PayPal Credit, but they asked for me by the wrong last name, they stated that I had 600$ balance when that number is way off and they said I was two months behind when I have in fact made 2 payments this month.  They also said I was 60$ past due but 110$ would bring me current.  This has got to be a scam, don't give these people your information.  I also checked my PayPal account and to be sure I was paid and as I suspected I am.

I had been receiving numerous calls from this number and 888-393-7163 for a couple months without them ever leaving a voicemail. I had nothing owed on my Paypal Credit account. On a whim, I checked out my Newegg Preferred Credit account and it turned out I had a delinquent amount accruing interest and fees for the last 3 months. Ouch!! After paying the balance off, I received a confirmation of payment made to Paypal Credit! The phone calls have now stopped.

BE SURE TO CHECK ANY AND ALL LINES OF CREDIT YOU MAY HAVE OPEN - IT'S POSSIBLY A PAYPAL LINE OF CREDIT THROUGH A THIRD PARTY OPERATOR. Please don't make the mistake I did!!!

Paypal Credit (formerly Bill Me Later). Not behind on payments, but they call anyways. Have always been on time and paid more than my monthly minimum payment, but they abruptly closed my account without notification anyways (30% of the credit limit). Pretty shady practices. Will be glad to be done with them.

For what it's worth: they call me four times a day...every single day...without ever being late on payments. Shameful.

I forgot to pay my Paypal Credit bill. They said they were the collections department for PayPal credit. I told them that I realized it was them calling and I scheduled a payment earlier that day. She confirmed that I had made that payment and thanked me then I hung up. Seems Legit.

PayPal Credit reminding me that payment is past due. Legit call.

888-393-7162 calling for 5 days, usually 4 times per day. All but two calls were blocked by robo blocker. The 2 calls bypassed blocker via call waiting. No VM left, now blocked by our phone blocker.  We have no relationship with PAYPAL credit and assume caller is Scamster.

Finally answered this "toll free caller" that calls every few hours day after day and never leaves a message.  Turns out to be debt collector looking for someone else with similar last name.  They promised to remove my number from their list.  If I get any more calls, I will be filing an official complaint.

Says PAYPAL. Don't have an account with Paypal, and I never did. What a bunch of jokers! Love wasting their time by answering the phone, and saying nothing.

They must think I can pay them back.  Thanks for the $750 Bill Me Later!   Now [***] off.

Called 3 times on July 20 while I was not home.  I called the number back and the man said that it was BillMeLater collections department.  I don't believe we have an active account with them and certainly have never used their service.  So I don't understand the reason for their calls.  Neither did the "representative" who talked to me when I called.  No activity and $0 balance.  Wouldn't surprise me if someone has hacked into their system and is trying to rip people off.  I called PayPal on their customer service number (402-935-2050) and finally got a representative to confirm that she could find no such number associated with either PayPal or BillMeLater.  Not sure if that's correct but if it is, then this is definitely fraud activity.

I had inadvertently opened a BillMeLater account when trying to update our PayPal account info about a year ago - actually kind of suspicious the way they set up the prompts as though that's what they wanted me to do.  Once I figured out what was going on, I contacted them by phone and told them I was not interested in opening any kind of credit account.  I thought that was the end of it but apparently not...
