Just another scam. As others have said, they're spoofing Experian's customer service phone number. I asked him to tell me the last 4 digits of my SS number and he hung up.
Experian normally wouldn't call you unless you have already contacted them first.

Just got a voice message stating: "this is your final courtesy call before we are unable to lower your credit card interest rates. Press one to speak to the member services department or press two and your eligibility to lower your rate will expire."  WTF???
    SPAM.

The caller identified himself as Stan from "Wreecharound Rim Jobs."

He said he does "Rim Jobs" for $40.00

    Not a bad deal.

If this number is calling you, it is absolutely a scam.  I picked up to tell the guy to take me off his call list.  He played dumb the first two times as if he didn't hear or understand me.  So I sat quietly because I was going to force him to hang up on me - he asked if I was there,  I said 'yes' confirming he could indeed understand me.  Then he called me an '[***]' ... how very astute... "Yes, again, Einstein." to which he hung up.

I let him talk. I enjoy wasting their time at least they are leaving others alone. Wanted my Mastercard expiration date. Asked who he was calling for was looking for a Linda. My names not Linda. Was actually waiting for him to ask me for my card number so I could be set free to tell him what a pos he was but he hung up when I was asking too many questions.

Emails, phone calls, texts, and faxes are not legal methods of debt notification. If they won't mail you (that's via the good ole post office) proof of the debt, you know it's a scam.

We are not a call blocking service. Consider getting a call blocking device (or app for your cell phone)-they're available online and start around $45. https://800notes.com/nb/search?q=call+blockers

'Peter' called me this morning from the 'Federal savings bureau'.. my number is registered to my grandmother, who died five years ago. So, Peter thought he was talking to an 80 some year old woman. I informed him there was no reason for his so-called Federal Savings Bureau to call me. Since there's no such thing and to go scam someone else. He sounded half asleep and I don't think he thought I was going to answer the phone. Always someone trying to take what is rightfully somebody else's
