You can report the number to the FCC..go to the do not call wensite..There are instructions on how to do this.  If everyone does this the calls will stop..it is a $16,000 fine per incident!

(1-888 555-1212) and my daughter who (Died) (04-2-2015) ANSWER in HEAVEN" so I talk to her,very Happy ,she said Mom"and told me so many things as we talk to each other, then my only other daughter said--Mom , I want to speak with my sister,also----so I said pick up the phone,and (K.) dial (1-888-555-1212) and her sister answer up in (HEAVEN),and they spoke to each other !!! Dream it on (EASTER SUNDAY) ! Yes ,I dial this no. The call originally came in under number 727-478-2621 and showed up as 888-555-1212 on the voicemail which is a Florida number and I live in Florida. When I called it back they were looking for a friend of mine. It sounded like it might be a bill collector. I didn't ask and I didnt rat my friend out either and gave them a different number to call her at.

Forgot to mention this sounds like a Phantom line used by many different companies.

I see that most of these posts are several years old, but I just received a call from this number.  I did not answer and a message was not left.  Will block the number.

I'd be careful listing someone's name  and birthdate associated with this  number.Spammers spoof actual phone numbers all the time, so in all likelihood her # has been spoofed, and she isn't the one calling.

6/10/16 12:47 PDT  Followed closely on the heels of a single ring call that didn't even register on caller ID.    Whatever the case may be, will block this number based on the previous 5 pages of reports and no message.

That's interesting; it sounds like they hung up almost immediately after dialing, so that the Caller ID would not be transmitted, yet the destination phone would still ring once. Something a prankster might try to do.
