3:13 am!!!!!  sound asleep...now wide awake and shaken over the fact that i was getting a call so late. pissed

Simple solution would be to turn OFF your phone while sleeping and then turn it ON when you wake up if you don't want to be awaken by a call or text.

FYI...ANY number that starts with 555 is a bogus number. That is why you see it as a number on tv and the movies all of the time so some innocent person doesn't get slammed by people calling it. Do not answer ANY call with the 555 prefix.

These bozos called at 6am on a Saturday morning!

I have received this call numerous times. I do not answer. The voicemails are all prerecorded and say a formal complaint has been filed against me and it is urgent that I contact them at a different number, an 866 number.  I know this is a scam as i know all legal formal complaints must come in writing. This I know because about a month ago I was receiving calls saying charges were being filed against me and if "their people" found me before I contacted them there was nothing I could do. Wow. I know. They have also contacted my mothers phone number with the sane voicemail.

Usually I ignore it, but thinking it was about student loans, I answered An autovoice said, "A complainthas been files against (my name) if you have any knowledge of the whereabouts of (my name) please call.." Auto blocked now, but this was the creepiest l.

The left me a message saying that a complaint had been filed against me, they had my full name, and I must call them back because they were investigators with the court and the sheriff would be sent out to arrest me today.   LOL   I blocked them. First of all the court or the police or the IRS will NEVER call you and give you a heads up to an arrest if you do not send them money...  they would just show up and arrest you or garnish your bank account or what ever.... I hate these types of SCAMMERS the most because they prey on people who do not understand how it all works.  They make them afraid and prey on that fear to cheat them out of money..  There is a special place in HELL for these guys and girls!!!

They start calling my house at 6 in the morning. And they call 2 times in a row. I'd like it to stop

I just recieved the same message today and the same threat. Your not alone.

Yeah mine is the same they say in my case there has been a complaint filed and if I know the where abouts of a person which is one of my children then contact them immediately if you call 888-555-1212 it says no one can be reached at that number

yes, constant harassment phone calls claiming a judgement is against you, so call them immediately.....totally ROBO   crap!!

I leave mine on all night so my son or elderly parents can reach me if needed. Not always so simple.

They left a message saying my name and needing help located my name . It was a robot talking

Now they are sending unwanted faxes to my home! There is an opt out that says "to out out of faxes visit http//fax.optout.ga... This only takes you to a govt site..The call number to them is the 1800-550-8145 ext 1..

I make apps for the iPhone/iPad and this 888-555-1212 number is the number that you use in the iOS Simulator to test iMessage apps. It is the number for John Appleseed's home phone. His mobile phone is 888-555-5512. I believe that the calls you are getting may be from other developers testing their apps. Since it is a simulator, no one is actually talking through this end of the phone.

Fax: unsolicited, illegal marketing. Business not identified and "unsubscribe" link is a dead end. These come in on an almost daily basis. Extremely frustrated.

This is 1 of those false phone numbers.  The name that appears with it is Charles Taylor. Which is someone that I don't know. Having read the reviews, I am pretty certain it is probably one of those set up to spoof your phone. Which leads to all kinds of headaches.
I am on the National Do Not Call List. But, still get calls. I have resorted to recording an unpleasant voicemail, about unwanted sales calls. Which is actually working pretty good.
