They use autodialers that just dial every number in an area code. Spoofing sucks.

I "NEVER" pick up on a "UNKNOWN" or "UNAVAILABLE" caller id.  If you don't leave a message it just confirms my not picking up.  Sometime I pick up when there is a name associated with the phone # even though I know the caller is garbage.   This one was "UNAVAILABLE"

I doubt it.  Give me enough time Gina and I will eventually call your # by dialing random #s.  Give me a bank of computers and VOIP and I'll get to your # faster.

Say you have a unlisted #.   I dial a random # that happens to be yours. All your # is, is unlisted.  Doesn't mean it can't be called.

Most scam calls I get are robo calls.  I've never had a robocall where I ended up talking to a person that knows who I am.
You'd think if they've got a "List" of phone #s and people associated with that #, their calling machines would insert your name into the robocall.  If they did, you might bite (at least for a little bit).

It is rare that I get a human scammer calling me.
It is extremely rare that I get a human scammer calling me that says my name.

They call #s.  They don't care if the #s connect or not.  Maybe they cull the #s that currently are  not tied to a phone #.  Maybe those #s are put in a database of "Don't call for 3 months, maybe by then the # will be issued". Rinse/repeat.

But, they could all do more...much more ..to educate the people about fraud, how to spot it and how to handle it. These scams wont work if the is no market.
Maybe call forward these calls to your local congress person.

3 calls today from these low life pieces of $&8@.  Research shows the company as BMV Corp out of Boca Raton FL.  CEO is a scum sucking garbage rat Ran D. Barnea.  I encourage everyone who gets a call to lead them on for as long as possible and totally waste their time.  Have fun, make it a personal challenge to see how long you can go, then tell them that you are just jacking with them and have no intention of ever doing business.
