- DreeReport it for sure. My bank said that if enough people report it, the gov't will flag it and go after these people. Look how much they got if you add up just the charges on this one blog. Thanks for posting because that is how I knew for sure it was a scam and was able to alert my bank to it.
- Cheryl R replies to Chris W| 2 repliesMe too - Acai berries from US which was really difficult to cancel, I had to threaten them with reporting them if they didnt cancel it, and now I have the ELGTECH transaction too. Bank says could be in the fine print that they give your details to subsidiary company and if so and if a direct debit could take forever to sort. If it is fraud the bank pick it up but if it is the fine print thing it lies with us.
PLUS the Acai whatever berries arrived with the tamper evident wrap loose, so I chucked the lot out as did not trust that they were the real deal. Note for future - PAYPAL or nothing..... - econgirl74 replies to AlmaYeah, I just saw it on my bank statement as well. The number says it has been "temporarily disconnected". I agree, I am going to dispute this my bank as well.
- Rodney replies to Cheryl RSame thing has happened to me on two occasions. Bank took care of it the first time and refunded my money and a block was put on the card. However it has happened again so cancelling card and leaving it to the bank to sort out.
- PatrickI was also charged by Elgtech $59.98 and $1.80 on December 27, 2010. I was then charged another $59.98 on January 3, 2011. I typed in my browser Elgtech and it seems to be a foreign web hosting domain site. I never signed up for it or spoke to anyone about doing business with this company. I also called the 8887291134 number and it does say that it is disconnected. I am going to my bank today to dispute these charges. I never ok'ed these automatic withdrawals.

- You are all ridicules! replies to james m.smith| 5 repliesIf any of you signed up for the "free trial" for acai berry or colon cleanse or anything of the sort, this is what the charge is for. You didn't cancel within the time period stated in more than one place on the website. This isn't fraud, it's your own negelct in reading something before you put in your card info.

Beings you have all the answers...what about those of us who did not order anything, or who got scammed because they simply answered their cell phones, and there was nobody on the line? How would that make us "all" ridiculous?
I got scammed by these people as well, I did not order any of these products, but I did receive a "no number call" on my cell, and no one spoke a word. Before you come up with a brilliant answer like: "Well, don't answer no number calls"...for some of us who have loved ones in Afghanistan, or other remote parts of the world, can't do that. My son has called me several times on the cell he uses there, and sometimes it's a no number call, at other times there is a number, but it is not the same number that shows up, it's different almost every time.
Try being a little kinder to people...but if you feel so superior to others...at least learn to spell the words that you use! - A sympathetic and empathetic victim replies to L MilucciThis just happened to me as well, I went to my bank, they pulled it from the pending status, and cancelled my card...this was a few days ago...today the same charge plus another $1.80 cleared my account against my card...so double check. You may have to go into you bank and sign an affidavit to go after your money!
- demoller replies to StaceyBI was checking my account today on line and had a charge for the same crap. I cancelled my card and filed an unauthorized transaction complaint at my bank for the VISA department so hopefully there will be a resolution forth coming. I only get SS and a small disability check and $60.46 is alot of money for me. Damn these creeps!!!
- pucca replies to jenni| 1 replyYes, this is definitely a scam. I had similiar problem--ordered back in Oct. TONS of problems main one being that you cannot reach the company AT ALL!!! Called my credit company, disputed. Then all of a sudden get another charge from this ELGTECH. Luckily my credit company called me suspecting suspicious activity and they are taking care of it all for me. had to change card #'s etc. I will heed the previous advice....Paypal only.
- JoshThey got me 4 times in one month. I run a business and I use my debit card for all of my purchases. There can be hundreds of transactions in a months time to reconsile, but I found these 4 to be fraudulent. Before I jumped the gun and shut down my account, I researched it as best as I could, only to find that their phone number doesn't exist.. Doesn't work anyway. Now I have to suffer without a debit card for a handful of days until my new one arrives. I hope that these guys burn for screwing with us. Life is hard enough without having to deal with theiving [***].
- Already replies to Try using Dictionary.com o wise oneThey got me today!!!! And yes I did cancel this thing 2 months ago!!!!!!!!!!!! I also just had to cancel my account, so you tell me who is being rediculous.....

I live in Australia!!! Never bought anything from GB. These people should be reported which I am going to do and stop my credit card. Big shame on the English!!!!!
- Jennifer replies to puccaSame things happened to me...ordered from Diet Max in Sept...they wouldn't refund when I returned the product, told them I would disput, did so and as soon as I did the same charge I disputed plus one for 2.95 showed up under the ELGTECH name on my cc!! what a scam!
- Christina replies to Katherine Fodor| 1 reply877-676-4592 Is the recent number for these people. This isdefinately a scam and I have had to call the fereal trade comission and now I need to get ahold of the Credit Bureau then file a police report. Good luck to everyone that this happens to.
