I called the number back...explained we don't have a mortgage and when we did it wasn't thru their company. They still call though from this number and an 801 area code number as well.- Caller: SPS

Anyone you talk to on the phone is instructed to either play dumb (or maybe they are simply dumb) or be rude. - Peasoupfan replies to DaveThat's funny...I am not late on any bills and they called me.

- Dotgot an email yesterday from sps stating they now held our load, (unbeknownst to us, our mortgage company sold our loan to them...(we have never been late). It said our Nov pmt should be sent to them. Our Nov pmt was made & posted on 10/20. Never got anything from existing mortgage company saying it was sold. then they left a msg on the phone today stating they have important info for us.....somehow i doubt it.......

- Jerry replies to SeanNOT Chase Bank, Chase Receivables. A debt collection agency.
- MR.X replies to AquariusSPS may be a mortgage servicer, but the couldn’t tell my girlfriend who currently held her mortgage, as proof that they are a valid representative. The bank had a different representative who had proven his relationship during the same time SPS claimed. Furthermore, the loan in question was discharged in a 2009 bankruptcy, AND she doesn’t even own the property anymore as it was actually foreclosed in 2017 per a County Recorder’s office filing. There is no debt to service. SPS isn’t smart enough to understand this. Getting a different person every call doesn’t help, even when they record (with permission).
- Nae| 1 replyThis number has called me multiple times and left a voicemail to call back for an "important message regarding my mortgage" claiming to be from SPS. This is NOT SPS -It's a scam. We called the 800 number for SPS from our bill and the rep said that SPS would never call from a 904 area code and if it were a legitimate call, it would be from an 800 number. DO NOT CALL THESE SCAMMERS BACK AND BLOCK THEIR NUMBER.
- Caller: Pretending to be from SPS
- Call type: Scam suspicion
- AnotherMouseThis number is calling me. I read some of the other postings stating the company is SPS. I have no idea who they are or what they want. They haven't left a message yet. Our mortgage is not with these people so I have no idea why they are suddenly calling or what they want.
- sally replies to NaeYou gave the most helpful explanation on this number. So it is actually a scam.
- WesThis company called me and asked me my last four digits of my social, and they're not even my mortgage company. How is this possible? I think it's a scammer.
