- Kimshere36 replies to ana| 12 repliesI am currently in a course by Decorate-Redecorate.com . Barbara Jennings is an author of many books, check her out on Amazon books. I'm very pleased with the course. Do not go to HAVERHILL They are a scam and I'm out $1000 because of it. Barbara is a great teacher and her courses are less expensive than most, but are much more thorough than Haverhills. She provides so much more material on both staging and redesign and great marketing information. I highly recommend her. If you were a student of Haverhill's before she is offering special prices to you. 50% off. I took advantage of that great offer and am now VERY PLEASED. Good luck.
Kim - sad stager replies to fripouilleHi Fripouille,
I am going through this sad staging process. I am so glad there is an avacote leading this charge. If this goes as bad as everyone says I want to help with this issue. I do not want to be ripped off. I have studied hard and need a job. (as we all do these days)Powere to you in your charge!! - ajoke| 1 replyrumour has it that haverhill does not hire STAGERS, you are called a STAGER but are really a TELEMARKETER in disguise getting them business only
- sucksalready made this comment, but I've heard through a reliable source that Haverhill hires you as a STAGER and then expect you to be a TELEMARKETER!!! beware
- fripouille replies to Andreaandrea, you are back. once again. hmmmm, i think i can use this in my court case too. too many hh employees come on here trying to state how great this company is but the in fact the opposite is true. as more and more students are expressing their lack of education, lack of attention (when trying to call or email), lack of support, lack of proof that the work is not good enough.
and the more you talk andrea, the easier it will be for me, SHIELA, one of the people haverhill is suing.
and yes, they are suing more than one. now, if i were a home owner, and i came across this info, i would wonder why would a "school" sue former students? how do i know they don't try to sue former clients because not all clients will be happy with the final out come (whether it was the staging, the additional costs, the communication, the overall experience) and they told their friends and family and others the same way the students have, on a public forum, but told the truth as it pertains to them?
i don't think i would want to risk it. i think i would choose a different company.
i thought you were not going to post anymore on here. but that's right, i remember reading that kimberly was not planning to sue audry/natalie (and everyone i recommend you go and read this statement yourself) and then ask natalie what haverhill is doing to her right now.
very inconsistant! defend them all you want andrea, but make up your mind. either stay away like you claim you will or don't make the statement. - fripouille replies to blueskykeep bugging them. file a complaint with the BBB. contact you local government offices.
- Steve Sergeant replies to Rick Okada, Haverhill Staging| 1 replyFair enough, Mr. Okada.
Your defense of Haverhill seems legitimate. But please explain how and why my sister completed your course, completed all required modules, provided all required documentation - all within the required timeframe, and scored 97% on your final exam more than two months ago ... and she is being jerked around with "we'll see" and "we'll get back to you in 45 days" regarding her so-called "guaranteed employment."
She is in an area of Southern California in which Haverhill admits is desperately short of qualified stagers and in dire need of people. And yet, the employment "guarantee" doesn't quite seem to be taking effect.
Please explain how this plays into what you call "legitimate business" in which you "back up every claim we make and will unfailingly stand up to the most scrutinous eye."
I have substantially scrutinous eyes; two of them. And they see highly questions claims not being fulfilled.
Please respond to GunnySteve@live.com. - cvm replies to Go 2gether| 1 replyI would love to see this test. I am currently a Haverhill student and have seen way too many negative comments concerning this company. Although I feel that the work I have submitted is truly high quality work, I'm sure Haverhill will find fault with everything. I need to get a passing grade so that i can get a refund when they choose not to hire me.
- tmarieWOW thank ou all for your gut renching truth and saving me 1K. This sounds like a dream job but Haverhill has made it more of a nightmare. So sorry for all your grief. My best advice for all you to submit your remarks to a canadian BBB.
- TP replies to froggy| 4 repliesThere are a lot of frauds out there and of course Internet allows an easy assess to suckers.
I find it inconceivable that all of these comments and replies to Haverhill Staging School scam are not true, but to proof it is something else. So we go with our instinct. That is why these posts are so important.
Haverhill, I am sure have a good legal team and they might be following a thin legal line.
But nevertheless I feel that as a public we should actually question Home Television for bringing those people into our homes.
Here is a school which I will not sign in for any their ‘curses’ and a show from Home Television that is no longer on my watch list.
I am glad and thankful to all of you out there for sharing your experiences.
Thank you for opening our eyes.
Tom - janice| 2 repliesI think the truth lies somewhere in the middle, here. Haverhill is selling a course and they have no intention or ability to provide employment. This is obvious. When I emailed Haverhill and was called by a salesperson, it was clear to me after asking a few questions that this was their business. Selling, not hiring. They couldn't answer simple question such as "What real estate companies do you work with in my area?" Or, "How do I get my referrals?" I approached my conversation in a different way than I think most people would. I was suspicious, and I decided to interview THEM, not the other way around. When I read some of these complaints that frankly muddy the water, I shake my head. It doesn't matter how many phone numbers Haverhill has. It doesn't matter how difficult the test is, how many blanks are in the questions, or whether or not you can skip over difficult questions and return to them later. These peiople will sell their course to anyone. Qualified or not. You could be a goat herder in some third world country and they would sell it to you. I think you should do a bit more investigation before you put your money down. There are bad deals out there and you have to take the responsibility to sort the good from the bad. These are tough times, we're all trying to do something to make a buck, but be advised there are "opportunities" out there that are shady. Unfortunately we are too trusting and people like this are ready to take advantage.
- Kimshere36 replies to Steve SergeantThe course material provided by Haverhill is 1 book, many pages of which were dedicated to "how to de-clutter" closets, halls, etc. There is so LITTLE content, I learned nothing from the material - that I hadn't already learned by watching a few staging shows. Please save your money folks. Every employee I talked with at Haverhill, and there were only 3, (I doubt there are many more), none of them were what I would consider "knowledgeable" and the test instructor couldn't answer the multiple choice questions herself. Please see Decorate-Redecorate - Barbara Jennings course. She has offered 50% off her courses to former Haverhill students. I have taken advantage of that offer and am so surprised by the amount of material she provides in her course. I have learned a lot and the course also covers marketing yourself and your business. EXCELLENT course. Please feel free to contact me at wrightathomeinteriors@yahoo.com for more info about Haverhill's scam or Decorate-Redecorate's course. Haverhill and all employees should go to jail for the theft they are committing.
- Erica replies to NatalieHello Natalie,
Im doing this course right now and not happy at all! I just got my course marks back and got 33%! I did everything they asked, and then some and had it in on time! but they still flunked me! I was wondering how you got them to refund your money...i want to get out while i still can...thanks so much! - how about a little common sense advice? replies to TP| 3 repliesADVERTISEMENTS – from the Federal Trade Commission website:
The appearance of ads in media outlets that you recognize - like your local newspaper or radio station - is no guarantee of the legitimacy of the company behind the ad.
me: anyone willing to pay for advertising gets it. NO ONE CHECKS THE LEGITIMACY OF businesses that advertise. YOU HAVE TO DO IT YOURSELF!
The only TRUTH in ADVERTISING is if a SCAM business is willing to pay for it – they can get the ad space and rip-people off until someone decides TOO LATE to address it.
When they should not be allowed to advertise in the first place! - a true canuk replies to nunayaSure you did! you sound full of .... to me.

ellanourb-at-hotmail.com - Haverhill Student replies to jonespeakI am also concerned about their program.I have completed all the coursework and received a very low grade since they judge how to grade since there is no standard answer. I need to know how to get the refund of $1000.00
How do I participate in calss action law suit against Haverhill?
Thanks,
Haverhill Student - Home Stager replies to John| 7 repliesHi there,
I am a Haverhill Home Stager. I passed the course and have met with MANY other stagers who have passed the course as well. It is possible to pass and also possible to pass with flying colours. It's all about the effort you put in. It is a lot of hard work but please do not post the it is impossible. That is a false statement. Thank you! - Home Stager replies to John| 1 replyNo, it's not a scam. I am an employed Haverhill Home Stager and I have a fantastic job. I love it and I worked hard for it. Maybe others should do the same!
