Well, well, well.  Finally some closure on this little scam.  Have I got some juicy bits of carnage to share with you!

First off, the call is from a cell phone. Seems reasonable? BUT, I went to peoplefinders.com, spent $5 (you're welcome) and got some more personal info.  As it turns out, whoever is using this cell number gave a scam-a-licious address of The San Bernardino Public Library!

I've already contacted the director of the library, told him ALL about what was going on; to that he said "Oh, I've got a police officer friend who can take care of that right now."

The San Bernardino Police Dept. has been notified and will undoubtedly catch the criminal(s)

Suck on THAT 909-650-9121!

I've also alerted the San Bernardino D.A.'s office.

Upon FURTHER digging, I found the company that holds ALL the account info associated with cell phone number, (909) 650 9121. Names, dates, credit card numbers; the total paper trail; I forwarded ALL of it to the California DA's office.

Keeps calling about lowering credit card rates. I'm on "DO-NOT-CALL" list.

@thewidowmaker - i don't know..... i just got called. but i don't pick up #s i don't recognize.  i figure if i was important, they would leave a message.  99.9% of the time, no messages.  i saved them on my personal "no no" list on my cell phone, so next time that # calls, i see "no no."

I called this number back and its a recording. If you press 1 they will supposedly put you on their Do Not Call list! I hate these calls.

Tiger, through artful....lying, for lack of a better word, I was able to gain the PERSONAL INFO associated with the cell phone account #9096509121. Credit card #'s, dates of transactions, locations where these cell phones were purchased. I forwarded all this information to the San Bernardino County District Attorney's office.  

They are an ID theft ring based in the Los Angeles area. From what I can tell, it's a national, large-scale operation.

Anyway law enforcement has been duly notified. The ball is in their court, now.

recorded message stated calling about credit line????  SCAMMERS, no company name.  I reported to the Do not call registry.  PLEASE REPORT THESE CALLS, they are trying to extract your personal infomation for purposes of fraud.

Well I hope the D.A. works a bit quicker because I just got a call.

Was not home when the call came through -just found it on my caller ID.

9:36 this morning ... caller id: "CELLULAR CALL" ... the automated pre-recording said it was about my credit card, "there's not a problem with your credit card but you can lower your interest rate, blah, blah, blah".  I hung up.  I'm on the DNC list and have complained not only to the DNC website but also to the FTC.  So far, the calls continue.

Didn't answer as caller ID came up "Credit Services" on a Saturday!  Thank goodness for this website and all the other people who report these types of calls!!!

We keep on getting calls from 9096599121.  Recording says to lower your interest rate press 1.  I do so and "Habib the Taylor comes on and says we can lower our interest rate on our credit cards.  I ask Habib which card. He says visa and master card, I say how do you know we have any of these, he hangs up.  Annoying and I want him to suffer with festering boils!!!!!
Why can't something be done to put a stop to this?

I just had this number call me offering to reduce my credit card rates.  I haven't had a credit card balance in 10 years, so lowering my rate isn't at the top of my list!

I also got a call.  I am on the DNC list.  Additionally this company had my name, address, and credit cards numbers.  They tried to charge me $900 to lower my interest rate.  When I got upset with the person he was very rude and hung up on me.  I just canceled by account numbers and gave a heads up for fraudulant charges to my credit card compnaies.

The follow up call was from 850-387-0474.

Received a call 2/22.  Number is owned by Digitcom Services 1-800-464-5446.  Call them...they can block your number from this 909-650-9121 calling you.

Thank you all for your input.  I dont have a honda or in debt or have a new car with a warranty. With your comments, I have now blocked this number.  They know we are on the DNC list, however how many times are we going to argue with the callers not to call us.  909 is a Ca area code, but the number is unpublished
