SCAM - SHAME ON YOU!!

I've gotten at least three calls this week from this number. (Saw it in my call log.)

Didn't leave a message.

I just got a call from this number.
Caller ID: Name Unavailable
No message was left.
I called back via an internet phone [Evaphone.com]
and got this message:

EFG Research Group stating that I've have been carefully selected to participate in a short survey on the debt crisis.
I certainly believe this is a telemarketer / scammer.
Any legit survey group has a valid caller ID like Quinnipiac,  Seiana, or Harris.

We got a call which showed on our caller id. No message and we weren't here to answer, and wouldn't have answered anyway. That's what caller id is for!

Got a call at 5:00 PM from this number.  Caller ID said New York.  Didn't answer the phone since I figured it was probably a telemarketer or a scam of some sort.  The caller didn't leave a message.

Received call from 914-373-7134 number 11-2-11 and one last week.  They do not leave a message on my voicemail

I noticed this number on my caller id.  No message was left. The caller ID showed Ossining, NY.  I also looked up the area code and funny thing, I was just in that area two days ago.

Called.  said hit 9(?) to be taken off hte list.  It was a solicitation recorded call.
I hung up.

I work for a survey company (not this one I assure you) and I know that the do not call list only pertains to telemarketers, not for public opinion surveys or non profit organizations. Sorry to say. Some surveys take numbers that are just randomly generated with area codes and what ever the computer decides to put together. Due to this fact, there are some numbers that are disconnected or that just continue to ring. For the place I work at, if you do pick up and say "No thanks" your number will be taken off our record. I don't know how many other surveys do this but it's worth a shot if you want more peace and quiet.
As for the number that called my phone, I missed the call and they didn't leave a message, which is basically what everyone else has been saying.

Caller identification shows this number and Ossining, New York.  Was not home when they called at 5:02pm local time.  I called the number and it was a recording about taking a survey.

ESG or EFG research group was on the recording.

Got a call this morning, they didn't leave a message.  I'm going to block them as it appears to be crooks and liars.

I keep getting calls from 914-373-7134, they don't leave a message and stay on the phone untill my answering machine hangs up.  Today (being sick of these calls) when the answering maching picked up and no one saying anything...well I picked up and used my air horn.  Sick and tired of this.

New York calling...silence when I picked up the phone, then a hang-up. Interesting to see that the creeps using this number have moved from an investigation scam to a survey scam.  Yes, Caller ID spoofing needs to be made illegal.

Its a scam folks, dont give personal information and DEFINETLY dont give credit card information. PERIOD! Just report, and block, report and block.

No message--but the call came from Ossining NY.  Strange--Sing Sing is located there.  I wonder if the caller was planning a vacation there.

scam! - I answered, Some guy (Sounds like Peggy from the commercial) said he is doing a survey and for participating I will receive a trip to the Bahamas. All I had to do to get started was give my credit card number so they can confirm the trip and I will only be charged port fees of $50.

Got a call, didn't answer.  They didn't leave a message, but looked up number because I am on Do Not Call list.

This phone number came from Ossining , N.Y. according to caller I.D.
Ossining is the home of Sing Sing Prison...maybe the inmates are getting restless?
