I am on the Do Not Call Register. At 2:19 PM on Thursday, January 16, 2014 my home landline telephone rang. I recognized the calling number on my caller ID as a well known illegal scam operation. The caller ID showed "Out of Area" followed by the scam number 1-941-803-4666. I answered the phone by stating the following: "I recognize your number as an illegal scam operation so go ahead with the details of your scam." The caller slammed down the phone. I checked the number on Google and there were numerous complaints that this outfit is a card services scam where they want to lower your interest rates after getting personal information such as credit card numbers etc. I'll file a formal complaint for violation of the Do Not Call Register and also notify some federal authorities to see if they can take some action as well.

These bozos called, perhaps for the thousandth time.  Apparently, even though we block as many numbers as possible, AND tend to NEVER answer unknown phone numbers, they figure that there is still the chance that eventually, we shall wake up brain dead and actually answer their call.  Even more unlikely, is that we would give EVER out our credit card number to a criminal who calls .... duh.  This scam is connected with a number of other scams, and these folks place millions and millions of calls a day.  They use spoofed caller ID.  Sometimes they use the same call out phone ID for a few weeks, but then they eventually rotate the call out numbers.  For awhile, we would get the calls in batches, which was how we realized that a number of scams were all connected (sometimes within 2 minutes of one another).  It seems disturbing that these criminals have been allowed to operate for so many years.  

Got a call @10:41 on a federal holiday no less....

How many more stupid people with phones are there left that that keep these scamming bozos in business? Total waste of time and resources for people on the receiving end who actually have jobs.

8:37a.m. PST, no message left on answering machine. I do not answer unknown numbers.

Automated call to lower my credit card rates so I pressed 9 and when answered by a person I screamed at the top of my lungs "STOP CALLING MY F-----G NUMBER!" then hung up.  If we all do this, maybe, just maybe it will cost them enough time, money and employees that won't want to work there anymore.  Worth a try!

got robocall on my cell from 941-803-4666 caller ID said "NO NAME" on Tuesday 01-21-14 @ 121 PM.

This time the Credit Card Services SCAMMERS called and I picked up after 3rd ring and no one was there.

Card scam! Stayed on the line told them to I'm on the do not call list and to remove me now and was hung up on!

A new twist. The recorded message was a MALE voice who started with, "This is ANGIE from Financial Services."

I am on the national do not call list.

This was a computer dialed call.  This machine left a partial message.  I'm on do not call list.  

Hit the answer button and just listened. A threatening voice says: This is your last chance to correct the interest rate on your credit card. You will not be notified again!!! Right. Fu

It's unusual for Robo-Rachel from Card Services to leave a location on Caller ID. Usually it's a "V" followed by 14 digits and most calls are from Washington and Oregon. I've gotten close to 1000 calls from these scammers in the last 3-4 years. Different #'s and locations every day. Normally the service provider is CallerID4U. A provider set up to profit and protect scammers. This call was placed through Level 3 Communications, which is a legitimate provider making this call unusual.

I asked how many times I had to ask their dumb [***] to not call me and "Connie" informed me they would call my " [***] [***] everyday"

I just got a call from this number at 1:57 this afternoon.  It was an auto dialer call from someone named "David" calling about lowering my interest rates on my credit cards and that I had to press the number 9 key to speak with a representative.  When I pressed 9, it rang and rang and someone finally answered.  The man on the other end said his name was Frank and that he was from Consumer Services and that he worked with Discover, Visa, and Master Card.  He asked me if I had any debt or if I paid my balances in full.  I told him that I paid my balances in full, that I knew this was a scam, and that I was not going to allow him, or any of those other scammers, to take advantage of me and I hung up on him.  The caller ID read Palmetto, Florida.

Got a call at 1046AM.  Caller ID said "Out Of Area."  Recorded male voice said they could lower my credit card interest rates.  The voice twice said to press 9 to speak to a representative, then finally said to press 3 to not receive any more calls.  I pressed 3 and they hung up.  I will leave another post if I get another call after having pressed 3.

I got a robo-call from these crooks yesterday. It's the latest version of the Card Services scam, promising to lower your credit card interest rates. I pressed 9 to get a live person and was told the company is called "Consumer Rewards". I asked what happened to Rachel and the scam rep clearly knew what I was referring to! Got quite angry and said if I was going to waste her time she was going to hang up. Then she hung up.

Glad I wasted someone's time and pissed them off.

Pre-recorded call from Member Services says they can lower my credit card balances but this is my absolute last chance to "act now." They want you to press through to a live operator--which I did and informed him I had NO credit cards and wanted to keep it that way. Then I told them to never call me again. They'll call back tonight more than likely, this time using another number.

You can only HOPE it is the last call from them.  Next one will probably be from another spoofed number.
