I got a call from this number this am, June 30, 2012, saying that a lawsuit had been filed against me and I was supposed to call a Ronnie Cooper. They gave me this number. However, the guy that called me toldme he was a paralegal and would not give me any information like HIS name or number nor anything about the supposed law suit. I dont OWE anybody anything and have never been in trouble and this infuriated me to no end!!! And I didnt hold back in letting this idiot know that!! I contacted local authorities and they told me they have been getting many calls like this from ppl from Nigeria, Jamaica, and more. This person that called told me they would be sending the FBI to my job to take me to prison this coming Monday!!  And I'm supposed to call an attorney's office on a SATURDAY???  REALLY???  When he finally called my house again, and I had tried to call the number he gave me, he slipped up and let me know it was he who was the person he told me to call!! I told you he was an idiot! He said because I was rude to him and yelling at him and talking toof ast for him to understand that he wasnt' gonna discuss this with me. God Bless You and have a nice day--He said!! What an a**hole!!!!!

I also got this call this am at 6:56!!!! He left a voicemail saying my name over and over and told me to take this matter seriously. This is the second time this has happened to me. The first time was a few months back and I was driving when I took the call (I know very irresponsible) and he was yelling at me that I was going to jail if I didn't pay it and telling me that I was going to be arrested at my job on Monday (I didn't even work Monday) but I was in tears freaking out. I pulled over and called my mom. He kept calling me a liar and a scam. Well I kept calling him back to get more information to contact my attorney with and he said I gave you everything and you are a liar and you will go to jail on Monday. After the 3rd time of calling him back and he called me several more names and said I was being rude he "advised" me to stop calling him. Oh it was okay for him to contact me over and over! When I would call back a lady answered and then sent me over to this [***]! I reported it but was told that these people change numbers and stuff all the time so there really is not way to track them down. So when I got the call this morning I came down to my computer to see what it was about and it's the same BS!!! I wish these idiots would spend more time looking for a real job than preying on those of us who are honest hard working individuals who have enough problems of our own! What comes around goes around!!!  My biggest fear is that this scam has worked for them and that some people have given them whatever they ask for. It is really sad. Oh they also had the last 4 of my ss# and my email address. When I looked further into it I was told those are pretty easy to come accross! YIKES!!!!

He called me saying i owe money to advance america. saying i will be arrested on monday. i am now suing for theft, harrasment and wasting my time. threaten to sue back everyone. he now wont answer my calls. his real name is hemt anza. came on my caller id at work

i got the same call and they left a voice mail! saying exactly what he told all u guys. the thing that creeps me out is he has all our social security numbers! i think it is from an online loan tho, thats some [***]! he was giving me his [***] up attitude too and when i started talking [***] to him he clicked on me. this is some bs! is there anything to do to get these idiots?

This man called me at work but another manager answered and asked me if i knew a "Shawn Gibson" and I said "no..take a message". He just gave her this number and she hung up right away cause she said it sounded like she was being recorded. And this was on Monday before my days off so I eventually forgot about it and didn't call. Then today 6/30/12 at 11am this man called our home phone while I was at work and my mother-in-law answered and talked to him. He told her that he needed me to call him at this number or they were gonna file charges against me. So she called me and let me know. And I was like what?! and called the number and this man answered [same man from all calls by what it sounds]. He asked me for my name and phone number so he could bring up my account. Then read out my ss# and i was like ok? whats this about?? and he said he was an attorney for cash advance america and all these other online places and I owe them money for a $300.00 loan that was deposited into my bank account and now I owe $799.99 because fees and whatnot. He said I'm gonna be charged with 3 different charges and I need to pay or the FBI is gonna come to my work Monday and arrest me. Then when I tried to tell him nothing's been deposited into my account he just kept bringing up the arrest and FBI and then said the Sheriff one time and kept trying to hang up on me. I kept stopping him and then asked what do I need to do? and he was like "this will all will be dropped if you pay". Then I brought up if I need an attorney and he said "well you can but you'll have to pay for all that when you can just pay us". So after awhile of going back and forth, I asked him "you said it was put into my bank account, well can you give me the number?". Then he just hung up on me. Ugh! I can't believe this! He had me ss# and knew where I banked! Damn these people! He got me all stressed and freaking out. I called my bf and told him and he told me to call the police when I get home and report it. So after I got off I did just that. The officer told me it's most likely a scam and that he'll call the number and talk to this person and let them know to not call me anymore.

I just got the call from the same person. Scary thing is i owe my lawyer money for a recent custody case to get into the air force and this guy calls saying hes from a legal debt collector and gave me my name and social then said i owe money and it neds to be paid. I told him i didnt have any money and he said well then guess you will find out on monday whay will happen when the sheriff comes looking for you. So o am freaking oit thinkingy lawyer actually filed against me after we settled on a pamt plan of what would happen... is this number truely a scam?????

This guy has been calling and threatening. All these messages on here are the same things he is saying and I reported to sheriffs dept and they are investigating

The last four digits of your SSN are pretty much public knowledge, anyone can get the last four and that's NOT proof of anything. If the recite all nine digits then you such contact SS admin and tell them to put an alert on your number( if they can) But I doubt if they have your full SSN. ALSO IT"S A SCAM

I keep getting calls from this same number periodically but no one answers or I send them to voicemail and no one leaves a message. So when I looked up the number and read all these post, now I know that it is a scam so I called the number back blocking my number and left the phone by the tv. :-) If they answer I would go along with it and get the info that they want me to send money to and then report it to homeland security. They aren't scamming me!

Same as everyone else. This is a fraudulent type call that came from signing up for online loans or other services.

Please go to http://www.ic3.gov and file a claim with all the information you can provide.

I just received a call from this number leaving me a message aboung a lawsuit.  I called back and the guy gave me my information SS# and e-mail address stating that i have an balance of $900.00 and that he will be sending the cops to my job tomorrow and arrest me.  The guy didnt want to give me more information and said to tell that to the cops when they pick me up tomorrow?? what is this??? and has anyone tracked where is this coming from? so annoying im at work and dont have time for these prank calls!!!  I dont owe anyone.

I have just recieved this call this morning what should I do?

This prick thinks he's scaring me with threats of going to jail. I would like to kick the [***] out of him and then go to jail. I'm gonna turn the tables on this scammer and harass him on the daily!

If they're going to use the law to scam people, they should probably learn the laws of this country. Cops aren't collection agents!

I made a police report on this number and it is a scam you can contact your phone company and have a block put on the number to have the calls stop or next best thing would be to change your number :-(  I even tried having a family member who is a police officer call and try to scare them from calling me and it did not work.

I have been recieveing calls from this number (and others) for about a month now.  They have a foregin accent and are not even calling me by my correct name.  They have left me multipul messages saying that I or my attorney need to contact them as soon as possible or I will find myself in the court of law.  I finally answered after one of these messages and told them I was not the person they were looking for and they then told me that fraud was being committed from my number so I would have to figure it out.  They continued to contact me even after me saying I was going to report them and had an officer call and try to stop the calls.  I filed a police report as this is a SCAM so I have a proper paper trail in case something more were to come out of this.  The officer I made the report with advised me to either A block the numbers or B change my number.  The man was going under the name Michael White when I got the call on 7/3/2012.  Good luck everyone.
