WATCH OUT!!!  My dad calls me from a correctional facility all the time and the number always shows up as blocked so people can't call the prison back.

If I number is actually showing up on your caller id IT IS A SCAM.  I wouldn't trust it.

they use this number thru out the usa for inmate calls someone you love might be locked up and trying to get ahold of you so answer it   i did the same it was my 13 yr old daughter!!

I just got a call from this same number (shown on Caller ID) asking me to accept a collect call. I did not talk anymore and hung up. Online search indicated that this number is from TX. Can anyone ask FBI to do an investigation?

I rec'd a phone call from the number 972-535-7795 telling me I had a collect call and then it hung up.   When I tried calling it back, all I got was a busy signal.   WTH, this crap pisses me off.   I immediately whent to my cell phone provider.   Apparently with all the fraud out there,  they have no way of flagging this type of crap.    I was told to keep looking at my bill to see if any charge may appear on my bill.

Intellius reported the company that owns this number is based in Dallas.  The recording told me to setup an account I'd need to pay a $7.95 "handling fee." What kind of garbage is this? Smells like a scam a mile away. It might even be legit, but why would I pay money to talk to prisoners? I already pay taxes.
