It may be someone you know using someone else' DIN number, my friend does that all the time.

I live in the Charleston, SC area code 843 and received a call from this number at 5:55 pm, 10/6/2012.  It asked if I would like to establish an accout or add money to an "existing" call account from an inmate, .  I am unaware of any relative who is an inmate, and if they were, I want no contact.  I have just switched my landline carrier from AT&T to Comcast. I note an increased number of calls which show "private" or "no caller identified" as this one reflecting number and message.  I gather Comcast may be "selling" numbers which greatly disturbs me since these calls are more disturbing than previous random solicitors seemed to be.

I do not know anyone is jail and do not wish to get calls from anyone in jail

a company scam they call numbers hoping you will think you have a friend or family member in jail and they want you to set up accout they want your money fine companies right unless you know for sure someone you know is locked up just ignore call cause they will keep trying

Called my 10 cent a minute cell phone.  Naturally, I didn't answer. No message.

I received a call from this number, they asked for my complete name, and they wanted me to accept a collect call from the Washington State correctional facility, I immediately hung up. These calls come in about 4 times  a day.

You can most likely block the number from online.  I have that option.  I don't know anyone in jail.  Chances are they dial randomly as all telemarkers do.  If you apply for credit or order anything, THOSE companies sell your phone number.

This number is a general number used to relay calls from correctional facilities.  It is used by many different jails in many different states.  If you receive a call from this number, it is likely because someone you know has been incarcerated!

It is a scam don't even bother answering. I don't know anyone in jail. So why are you calling me.

If you get a call from them, answer it, tell them to [***] off and hang up. Problem solved. If they call again, repeat process.

I received three calls back to back at midnight this morning.  I'm unable to call back and see what it was about.

I am unaware of anyone with this number please have my cell number removed.
