I received 2 calls back to back. First one I answered and no one said anything for several seconds
Then when someone did come on I could hear lots of people talking in the background and the person had a heavy accent. I hung up immediately. Next call I did not answer and I will block all future calls! Obviously scammers! Really? Losers!

This number had called me 7 times within about 4 hours. No one answers. No messages left. Very annoyed.

I made the guy mad by playing along to waste his time. This really upset him -- which was fairly funny.
They utilize several phone numbers. I'm able to block calls through my phone service so it is easy for me to antagonize them and move on. Don't taunt them if you have no ability to control your incoming calls. After making him mad, my call blocker shows about a dozen attempts or so a day.

This is clearly a scam. It's a bit scary that some people say they just about fall for this -- please use a bit more common sense.

Most of the time this guy calls with an Unknown (anonymous) number.

I have over 250 phone calls from a scum bag organization advising me that they work for Microsoft Windows Tech Support with an accent probably from India or within that region advising my computer has been infected.  I was in face back and a friend sent a video and it said I need Video software from Adobe.  It was suppose to be also and I thought I had it so I download it from some type of location who claim be adobe flash.  I did have my computer fix but not by the guys.  I do not let any out side business work on my computer.  Beside this number they use unknown, 9000013, +9000013, ++9000013.  They are using some type of software.  Since it is electronic they do not leave message so I keep blocking them.

I received two calls from this number today, both times calling about my alleged report about Windows. I hung up. A few years ago, I received a similar call. They want to gain remote access to my computer so they they can steal personal information. It's about identify theft.

Got a call - man said he was with Windows Technical Support.  I immediately said, "No, no, you are not. You are a scammer." Before I'd even finished my sentences, he had hung up.

I first got one of these phone calls in February. Caller ID said NY Presbyterian Hospital. Same thing, Indian accent, Microsoft. I Googled it, saw that it was a scam. Received another call a month later, same thing, different caller ID. Then received one yesterday from the 975 number. The last two times I laughed and said You must think I'm a real dumb ass. He was actually polite. I'm sure there are many people making these calls. The person that said they called 250 times, that doesn't really make sense. Why would they waste their time with that? They are looking for people they can scam. Unfortunately there are elderly people and people that don't understand scams that fall for it.

I have been harassed with 5 phone calls today 5/15/2015 with in the last 15 minutes. The number is 975-964-2877. Also one of the calls was from 011-197-5964. The guy didnt speak English well. Called me a [***]. Tried to tell me that for a few weeks now that my computer has been under control of a hacker. Threatened me that he was going to shut down the operating system on my computer.   I said really and how are  you going to that and which computer are  you going to do it on when I have 4 computers. He tells me he will do it to all of them. I said really I would like to see you try it. I then asked where he was calling from and was told from Microsoft in California. He then disconnected the call and has not called back since.

Hi, I had the same problem
it was definitely someone Indian who was calling me and they don't stop calling you until you answer. If they keep on bothering you, pick the phone up and don't let them say a word, you say what you want to say like I'm gonna sue you if you keep on calling me and they'll stop. Trust me.

Hi I had the same problem. They are going to keep calling you until you answer and lie that your "Microsoft something isnt working", if they keep on calling you, answer the phone and tell them to stop and if they don't your going to call the police or sue them and them hang up the phone don't wait for their reply Then they will definitely stop, I did the same and they stopped.

Unfortunately, the answer to your question is a resounding "Yes!"  See post by Larry O'hara on 30 April 2015. Good going, Larry! You keep the scammers scammin'! Keep up the good work! Apparently the thick foreign accent from some random caller on the telephone fairly screams "Official Windows Agent"! Must comply! The idea that my $500 pc is jamming up the country's computers is so incredibly laughable.  No one has access to your computer, your phone, your banking information, or any other personal information UNLESS YOU GIVE IT TO THEM!!! And people still fall for this crap! If this was 1995, I could understand, but good grief - do you people live in a cave? Obviously, these scams work or they would go the way of the dinosaur.
