I've been getting repeated calls from this number as well as others.  I answered yesterday and it was a man with a thick accent that said he was from Windows and was receiving error messages from my computer. I told him I highly doubted that and he was very rude and said why do you doubt that?  I just told him I use a Mac and he said "oh, have a nice day" and hung up!  I don't know how to stop these calls - they are very annoying interruptions when you are trying to work.  My only solution is that I've saved this number and assigned it a "DO NOT ANSWER" title in my directory. When it comes up, I just mute the ringing.  They never leave a voicemail.

I'm sorry this happened to you, but you're the reason these scammers succeed.  I'm sure you learned a valuable lesson and I'm glad you reported your experience, here, but it amazes me how little people know about computers that they would allow this to happen.  If you had any sensitive information on your PC, i.e., credit card numbers, passwords to bank accounts, SSN's, etc., I would start notifying authorities, since you will be a victim of identity theft.

The answer is NOT to answer!!  Get a phone with a caller ID and screen your calls.  I've received these calls, before, from other numbers, but I get my information, here, and the phone remains unanswered.  I registered for DNC in Nov. of 2014 and have received 400 calls, since, so that's not the answer, obviously.  I don't choose to make call blocker manufacturers rich, so I just don't answer.  My call, from this number, came on 5/20/15, at 2:19PM, EDT.  No message left.  CID=Missouri (sure).  No call since.

This phone number keeps calling. I have received at least half a dozen calls. It says nothing, no answer at all.

O my these people must think that everybody in the USA is totally stupid.  Their  English is so bad and they keep saying OK OK.  Problem with Windows   Just a bunch of low life scammers looking for some dumbass to fall for their BS   I start making fun of them by repeating what they said  then they hang up. MORONS.

Received two calls from this number within two hours....On to the blocked list it goes with all the other scam callers.

Male from India said he was from the department at Windows, calling about my Windows computer.  I told him not to call me anymore and he responded really snotty.  SCAM!!!!!

Three calls last two days. Indian voice. Hung up all three times, last time only after giving him a verbal lashing.

this number calls several times until I answer. I answered and he says , in an India voice, we are receiving errors from your windows on your computer. I got swindled by them a year ago. Had to renew my credit card it was hacked twice.

I just tell them that I work for Microsoft. They will never call anyone and they can not know if your computer is infected with a virus.

got a call from a foreign sounding person stating that there was an issue with Windows application on my computer. Wanted me to give them remote access so they could "fix" the issue....HA -- NO WAY WOULD I EVER DO THAT!!!!

Have received about 5 calls so far today. I've not answered any of them...

"Dave" with a very thick Indian accent calls at least 3 times a day. My husband finally answered and told him we don't have a computer. "Dave" went off on him telling my husband he would report him to the FBI. My husband said go ahead & give them your name too. He asked to talk to his supervisor, "Dave" put him on hold & then "Dave" from the FBI (same Indian accent) came on the phone saying , "this is Dave from the FBI department is this Sara?" Of course my husband said do I sound like Sara?!! I cleaned that up on all parts by the way. Can we not stop this somehow or get him at least for impersonating an officer?

An Indian man called claiming he was from Windows and he could see on the "server" that a program had accidentally been downloaded to my computer. Upon questioning him about the company, how he got my contact information, and how he would know such things, he got very angry. He said, "F*** You and your computer" then hung up.

These people are so much fun.  When I speak with them, I use the persona of a kindly but dimwitted individual, so they have to repeat their instructions, at least twice, maybe more if I'm feeling especially playful.  What makes them even more fun is that I'm on my MAC, so I can't find the buttons or tabs I'm supposed to click.  By this time, "Dave" or Dinesh or whoever is really getting exasperated.  He asked me "What kind of computer do you have?"  Answer- "Let me check.  Where can I find the name on it?"  So then he has to tell me where to find the name on the back of the computer.  This takes more time.  Then I say, "I don't see a name, but I see a picture of an apple."  Then Dave says bad words to me.
Another time "Dave" or a colleague called.  I asked him where was he calling from.  He said "Brooklyn."  I said "Great!  What's the nearest subway station to you your office?"  Then Dave said bad words again.
I found a free application on the internet that blocks robo calls.  I get no more robo calls.  I miss Dave, though.

I am getting the same phone calls as all the above. In the last few days it has been several times a day but only silence when answered. A couple of years ago they got into my computer and I had to get a new system. Now no one get into it.

15 seconds of silence followed by heavy Indian accent with lots of similar voices talking simultaneously . He stated tht from Window Security and wants to know if I'm in front of my computer. I told him that I don't run windows on my computer, he then said" You have Apple right," I then said that I don't have a computer. He got very agitated and hostile,since he probably knew I was lying, and said," Then how did you end up on this report?" I replied," You tell me.", and hung up. They never called back since they  knew that before I sat down and let them take over my computer, they would first have to get me to confess and admit that I actually had a computer which wasn't going to happen.

Gentleman with foreign accent (Indian?) tried to tell me that I have been hacked and tried to get me to go to my computer for info.  I told him that I have a reputable internet security program.   I heard voices in the background "Hello, Hello" so it appears this is a multiple person operation.  Hung up .  Tried calling two or three times afterward.  Submitted a complaint in the Do Not Call Registry.
