Windows call center scam.

7-1-2015 received a call from  1-1-975-964-2877 it was routed through an International calling system. I told the person who sounded to be from India that i could not log on right now that i would do it tomorrow.  I asked for a return  phone number which i will not use but here it is: 1-501-566-1234. Doing an area code search this shows to be California  or Canada.  SCAM

Update to my post the 975 number  is located in Kansas City, Missouri

Calls daily from this number. I do not answer it, allowing it to go to voice mail, as I am getting a fraudulent call on my wifes cell phone saying they are going to "issue a warrant for my arrest if I don't pay them over the phone."

2016 elections are near,I will not vote for my congressman either party,that doesn't promise to do something about calls such as these

My policy for future elections is re-elect no one.

I've been called a number of times all with the same story "I am calling from Windows. We're getting warning of an error report. Looks like someone has hacked in you computer..."
Yesterday I decided to see if they would provide something to help identify them.
Over a 29 minute call they tried to get me to hold down the Windows key and hit the small r key at the same time. I played like nothing happened. "You don't see a small box pop up?" I said no, nothing happened. He they tried to get me to type in the browser www.teamviewer.com and hit enter. I played like nothing happened and he said I wasn't doing anything, then. Transferred me to his "Senior" ("Alex, with Windows" - heavy Indian accent). Same routine. The "senior" transferred me to his manager. Same routine. The last "manager," who identified himself as Max Wilson (heavy Indian accent) kept telling me I was not doing anything and finally said, "Oh my God, f&#@ you."
Does Teamviewer have anything to do with this scam??? Is that a legitimate business???
Can they hack into my computer if I remain on the phone line long enough??

Teamviewer is legitimate software. It is, however,  used by scammers to get control and access your computer.  They can't access your computer if you do not give them the proper passwords which are tired into the Teamviwer software..

I received a call from 975-964-2877 but I did not answer. They did not leave a message. A computer Tech at the local computer store said that he had gotten a similar call saying that his computer needed repair and the person on the line tried to get him to give controll of his computer to him. The Tech began to give him technical computer terminologies and he was baffled . . . did not know what he was talking about. So, he hung up. A Scam!!!!!!!

Got same call, three calls same number today.  Haven't had any from "Windows Service Center" in about four months. Last time I got through to real person, it was an "Indian" and I lit into him after having four calls in the week and trying to be polite telling him I know he represents a scammer etc and hanging up.  The last time, I lost it and called him an ignorant *head and so on etc for about two minutes, just venting on and on...  He finally got a word in and was pd off but I kept going and he hung up!  It's been four months, must be "new crew".

received call saying they were calling from Windows...I know Windows don't make calls....hung up on them and they called back 10 times...need this number blocked...

Answered call....silence......then says please insert your change....hangs up!

These guys call me up to 5 times a day.I have them on auto reject.

Received 4 calls within 2 minutes with this same number. No message. Most likely some kind of company that harasses people and lies to get money. You know the type.

I get a lot of these calls from time to time. I have learned what it takes to shut them up. I simply say I don't own a windows computer (which I actually don't - I use some, but technically I don't own them). They usually hang up. One guy yelled "LIAR!!!" and hung up.
Always Indian, always lying.

they call me day and night it always says its a guy named Jack or else I get silence... its an East Indian guy... I keep telling him I don't want anything from him...and he's wasting his time calling me... he keeps calling me ...its a landline phone ...I don't have a computer

A call from this number comes in every morning at 6:00.  No on is there.  The recording says goodbye and hangs up.

Have received numerous calls from this number, we do not answer. Would like to block the number.

Got a call from this number on 7/9/15, almost fell for this scam. First call, showed up as private caller with no number. The person said they were from Windows and something was wrong with my computer. Person sounded like they were from India. Hung up on them,got several calls from this number, caller ID shows Name not Found;  called Windows rep. Was told it was a scam. Got several more calls within an hour, told them not to call. Guess what, got several calls today 7/10/15.  Told them to stop calling me. Next call I get, I will call the police.

Calls both too early in the morning and too late at night. I answer and all I get is silence. I call back and get a message telling me the call can not be completed as dialed, or a loud beep sound. I am thinking of canceling my landline.
