Same scenario here, they call several times a day, 1st call I stated "TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST".  He said he would.  Tom from some security company.  And the calls continue.

most phones have a call blocking (reject) feature. i'm giving that a try.

This number is for a security company. i have told them not to call me. This is the 5th time they have called me. Sometimes three in one day. I am on the DO NOT CALL LIST

Repeated calls, then hang ups when we answer the phone.

Recd call from 978-570-2446 several times in the last 2 days.
Told them I am on the do not call list but they keep calling.
He is trying to sell a home security system.

Unwanted calls......every day to my cell phone

Tried calling the number back several times after missing these calls a number of times over the past several days.  Finally got through and a glitchy recording said "if you're not interested in our offer and want to be on our do not call list, press 1".  I pressed 1 -- will see if it works.

Another call from Massachusetts to my cell in Oregon. Persistent little boogers, I'll give them that! Never answer these calls as it will just encourage them. Depending on your cell company, you probably won't get charged minutes if you don't answer.

Please notice that you do not have to be on the DNC list to file a complaint if you are getting a recorded message from this caller. From the DNC website (https://www.donotcall.gov/default.aspx) :

You may file a complaint if you received an unwanted call after your number was on the National Registry for 31 days.

You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).

Your right in directing them to look at the expanded header info before laying blame but the question I have is, did she leave her phone number on the Olive Garden questionnaire? If not, there is no chance it come from them besides, what self-respecting business is going to be hooked up with an outfit like that, tarnishing their public image?

Depending on your cell provider, there is a feature available on some phones called "selective call block"or rejection. AT&T has it but for only 12 numbers, can you believe that! It allows you to build a black list of calls you wish to not answer but forward and I don't know if it gives them a message. This is a common enough problem that perhaps there is third party software for phones that will do the same or similar thing, I'll go look.... OK, here is a piece of third party software called "CallBlock Basic Edition v2.0 by WISH Solutions" for $10.  It's available for my Palm Centro but don't know if it is for your phone. If not, at least you can get an ideal of what to google for. Try wishsolutions dot com, check it out, then google for "call filtering or selective call block software", then check if your phone is covered.  So, here is what I have been doing currently...Almost without exception, the offending callers do not display a name so I just associate their number with a custom name when adding them to my contact list. I give them  the naming structure of "Don't Answer#",  the # representing the next available incremental number (1,2, 3,etc.) Then in future, if they call again, it displays the name I gave it and I just ignore or silence the ring.

this number keeps showing up on both my home and cell phone. on my home number it comes up as service message. on my cell its just dead air. i guess they are still shaking in their boots after the last time they called cursing at me. i threaten to call the FBI.

Great idea!  Thought of adding to contact but the "Do Not Answer" solves what to call it.

I called back, and they have an automated Do not Call list.
Just press one and the number you called from will be added to their don't call list within seventytwo hours.

We shall see if that actually happens.

I have recieved the call more than 10 times in the last 2 months. Every time I make my point very direct that I am not interested. I may start getting them to go all the way through their pitch and then hang up on them.

I put my number on the Do Not Call list and they keep calling, at least 4 times a day! When I answer no one says anything or it's an automated response.
