Make them stop calling!

I had been receiving calls from this number several times a day for a couple weeks and then nothing for almost a month. I was out of the country. Then, today, they started again on my cell phone. I only answer calls from people I know are listed in my cell directory. I want to get rid of this pest!!!

This number keeps calling me 978-570-2446 and I have repeatedly told them not to call me. How do I report them to?

We receive at least 3 calls a day from this number

Me Too, cell phone area 714. 2x today. I've learned to never pickup on any # I don't recognize, check here on 800notes first (Thank You!!)

Don`t waste your time putting your number on the DNC list or the FTC. Who`s to say for sure if they are  not also selling the numbers too. Your best bet is to not answer any number you don`t know, if it is a robocall it will trigger that yours is a live number if you answer it and you`ll be stuck with them from then on. Also, put a block on any unwanted calls. And if possible don`t give your number to anyone you don`t personally know. Stop playing around with these knuckleheads.

If you call back the number the recording says that if you press #1 they will put you on a do not call list. HILARIOUS!!! Because the second I hung up, I got a call back from 'Tom' the recorder.

Unwanted REPEAT calls from (978) 579-2446

Received calls from this number from Mass. on March 2011, and Aug. 2011.  First time I had the number blocked, but my cell company only blocks for 3 months at a time with a limit of 5 numbers (unless I pay extra, which I don't think it's fair--they should make the telemarketers pay for these calls and blocks).  Sent complaint to the Do Not Call list back then in March and again in this Aug.  From the posts here I learned it is a telemarketer (I do not pick up calls from strange area codes; and there wasn't a message left either).

It took a couple of tries but I finally was able to get through when calling back, I pressed 1 to be placed on the do-not-call list, and got the "It will take 72 hours message".  When I got the next call a couple hours later, , it went something like this:  
Me: (in a cheerful voice)    "Hello, I am SO glad you called!  I just had my number placed on the do-not-call list so I need you to stop calling me"   The stunned response was an apology, a promise to remove my number, and I have not gotten one call since doing this on August 2.  
No screaming, no whistles, no yelling at the poor sap just trying to do their job, and I am not going to waste my time filing complaints with the BBB, the FTC or anyone else.  This approach works every time for me.

Yeah, that's a good theory!

Call the number back and press 1. Puts you on their "Do not call list."

missed call...no message yet.

Annoying.. filed complaint with FCC which will hopefully get this done.  Calling daily 2-3 times and it's getting old.

I read about a great idea the last time I was being bothered by similar calls.  I made an entry in my phone I call "Junk".  I put these types of numbers there and set the ringer to "no ring".  I am no longer bothered and can just delete them when I choose.

Placing your number on the National Do Not Call Registry will stop most telemarketing calls, but not all.  Before you file a complaint you need to read the facts about the registry and determine if this company is even listed as one of the telemarketers covered by the law.  Also keep in mind that companies can pay the government money to have access to the Do Not call list - and many have.  So you are never really safe from these type of calls.
If your number has been on the National Do Not Call Registry for at least 31 days and you receive a call from a telemarketer that you believe is covered by the National Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint.  You may also file a complaint if you received a call that used a recorded message instead of a live person (whether or not your number was on the Registry).  
This same security company is based on a nationwide call center.  So as soon as you reply back to them to take your number off their list from one state - they will just call you from another call center located in another state.  Trust me I know.  I'm on my 4th state of receiving the same call - just from another number.
Keep in mind that the Do Not Call list does not claim that you will never receive telemarketer calls again - it just states it will reduce the amount you get.

This number keeps calling me like  2ce a day! its anyoing but i dont answer unknown callers so if its imposrtant they should leave a msg i just wonder how in the world they get your number out of the billions and trillions of ppl in the world it had to be you. >=/
