999-999-9999

Same 999-999-9999 numbers showing up in on bills on another person's phone that is in my acct--, about every other day,but frequently enough and,long enough I'm sure there's some communication outside spam/junk calls. I thought there used to be a way on landlines you could dial a code that lets u dial a number but,not show up on caller i.d.(?)- possibly just landline thing-?? Any ideas?- thanks

At my business we've received literally hundreds and hundreds of calls from 999-999-999, over many years. The majority are telemarketers or some other kinds of spam, but not all are. A few have been legit calls we wanted. I don't know what makes a number show as 999-999-9999, but I CAN tell you the number cannot be blocked unless you have some kind of blocker in-house. We have a long blocked number list on Comcast (our service provider) but the calls get through their system to our business. Once it hits us our blocker takes over and they're disconnected. And the thing is, a message plays telling them we don't accept blocked numbers or whatever, and they're given instructions on how to unblock their data so we can see who's calling. To my knowledge that's rarely or maybe never happened. It's vexing.

When these calls come in I get a quick notice on my screen, which always shows "Unavailable" and nothing else during the call; if I scroll back through the blocking software's log it shows Private/Out of Area. Scrolling through my phone's log it shows Unknown Name/ Blocked Number. The logs on Comcast always show Anonymous/ (999) 999-9999. So yeah, highly suspicious.

They said to give banking info for Canada  get to get money from government.

I recieved a text from this nmber  1 -999-9999 they said they were the government of canada sending out federal payment by E-trasfer🤔🤨( oh yeah right im sure! I smell a scam) then it says govenrment of canada sent you $540.00(CAD) THE MONEY IS WAITING TO BE DEPOSITED IN YOUR BANK ACCOUNT 🤨🙄 ummmm the goverment direct deposites into youraccount not  e-TRANSFERS !!!  someones trying to get access to my bank account trying to tempt me with the idea of $540 bucks being there nope!!! good thing im smart and saw right thru theyre tricks but im sure a dew were cnvinced THEYRE EMAIL ADDRESS IS e-TRANSFER.CANADA.GOV@HOTMAIL.COM  subj....followed by 5 numbers. and to supposedy deposie yourmoney you click on( deposite-federal-gov.com) this has got to be HIGHLY ILLEGAL USING THE GOVERMENTS NAME IN A SCAM😲😲😬😬👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♀️👮🏻‍♀️💂🏻‍♂️💂🏻‍♀️🕵🏻‍♂️👨🏻‍⚖️

BIG SCAM !!!!!! I’m not dumb, nice try!

Receieved the call when I couldn't answer. They called three times over the course of ten minutes. They didn't leave any messages. Number obviously looked suspicious too.

Fake phone number scam text messages one CRA telling I was getting refund of money.

Text to little used cell phone. Said INTERAC e-Transfer. Don't forget to deposit your funds. Suspect spoofed / phishing / scam message. Deleted.
