scorpio19844@gmail.com - Wearing Sandals 24/7| 2 repliesI'm a liberal atheist which means that I'm highly educated and know how the world beats. Have I ever been taken advantage of? Yeah, when I was a little twerp of a kid many moons ago. I believed all of the bull<><> that I was supposed to believe from my elders. As an adult I learned the truth of everything. What you don't see DOES NOT EXIST! Take that you bumbling bible boobs! I've never been a victim of any kind of fraud in my 66 years on this planet in peril (except for my eight years in catholic school>> catholic school is a scam), and I will never be a victim of fraud either. I'm way too smart to get snared by some dullard who thinks that he/she can "tap" into my private data. The only people who get their identities stolen aren't the sharpest knives in the drawer. Naivety is the prime ingredient to being taken advantage of. Why do you think that neo-conservative, bible thumping, Fox News watching SUV driving blowhards are the flotsam of society who get taken every second! They're the ones who are the big old lollipops that get a tasty licking by the crooks and liars that prey on them for their lack of intelligence and character.

After we both disagreed and confronted the man and said we thought them a scam and gonna report them. They called me a b word and hubby hung up
- tntLady Rose,
If they call you and tell you you're a sorrow person, and everything else under the sun. Even if you owe on an account or not? I legitimate corporation is not going to call you and tell you they are suing you. You would just be served some paperwork in the mail, or in person that is nothing more than a court summons asking you to come down to your county courthouse on such and such, date and time, and chances of that are very slim. Unless you are like one of the people that you see on these who done shows like CNBC's "American Greed." You more than likely never will be sued by a credit card debt, or any other low priced debt, due to the factor that in order to go to court and prove a case cost the plaintiff usually thousands of dollars to prepare, and then prove. The only people that call by phone and tell you how they are going to tear you limb from limb are junk-debt collectors. People who try to make a quick easy buck by scaring people to pay up or else. So try not to lose any sleep over them. If you are still being harassed? Ask them for their web address. If they have one? Report them to www.ic3.gov, and they will usually be gone the next day. Good Luck, and I hope I have been some help.
tnt - JulianneWe were harassed for, believe it or not, 11 years. We repeatedly asked for a copy of the bill, which was denied. We were ordered to pay the balance or we would be sued. We refused to pay and told them to go ahead and sue us.
For 11 years we would receive calls several times a day, several times a week. Suddenly the calls stopped for a year or so, then began again, each time with the 'debt collector' being rude, uncooperative and threatening to sue. Once again, we requested a copy of the bill and to speak to a supervisor. All requests were refused.
Finally, after 11 years of being harassed and threatened, my husband answered one simple question, and the calls stopped... he'd either been the victim of identity theft or there had been another person with the same name who had run up the bill.
These people were an annoyance, and after 11 years they obviously didn't have proof that we were the ones who actually owed the money.
Do not let them bully you, especially if you know you are innocent. And thank you Lady Rose. If I'd known that then, I'd have called in a heartbeat. Thanks for the advice. - summerbrezzeok im a sofmore in high school and im doing a paper on identity theft. and one of the qesions is what can you do if someone has stolen your identity?
- kik-n-as-ASAPThe best thing for you to do is make a report to the : cs3.gov you can do this on line. Then the BBB : better business bureau.

All of these are the best in rules , regulation, and will help you get answers especially when the FTC.gov gives you the consumer rights to be protected against these harassing calls. Most of these calls are fraudulent and are just trying to get

- Sawbucks replies to bbYeah, I got my Paypal account hacked into and consequently my bank account because Paypal said I needed to attach my bank account to my Paypal! Somebody then took thousands of dollars from my bank account and put me in overdraft charges. The bank refused to help me and further exacurbated the problem! This money that was stolen was to have been backpay from disability. No help was afforded me and I paid out the wazoo because I had written a few checks unaware of this unfolding event and my bank failed to notify me. I found out the next business day (Monday). A whole weekend for somebody to wreak their evil havoc! I did not know that all this would happen. How naive I was! Hard life lessons learned.
Everybody be careful these days. That's all I can say,,,be on guard. - azmsn replies to LADYROSEAZ nariesilly
- CherylMy ex sister in law stole my identity, and I have had nothing but problems since. Her name is similar to mine, and when I moved out of a rented house, after purchasing my own, she moved in, so it was more complicated because she had my previous address to. My name is Cheryl, hers is Shirley. We had the same last name until a year before I moved, since mine was changed after my divorce. My ex-husband gave her all my info, including my children's, so now we are on watch for them, cuz they are all adults now. Nothing has happened to her yet, and I am still getting court and collection notices. If I needed one, I couldn't get a loan if I tried with my credit score of 545. I am in Indiana, and this sucks that she is out and free and getting away with this.
