- Skip replies to Ladyrose| 1 replyYour all right to do the SS thing but let me give you a true story. My ss was stolen when I was 18 , I'm now 56. I went through all the channels including ss who gave me a new card with the same number . so today I still get calls claiming bank fraud, bad debts etc.. However I know its not me cause I have never done any of it. That all said the ss will not change my number again because the fraud report had already been filed and closed. So truth is, You have no responsibility to talk or worry about any call you receive if you know its not you. Don't answer numbers your not sure of and don't return calls that confuse you. If there is a crime against you the law will find you and explain it directly usually at your doorstep.
Don't stress over this stuff it is a big business. - Don replies to Wearing Sandals 24/7This is probably the internet's stupidest comment to date in this thread. You sir/mamn are a moron and this is not about your personal crusade of being perfect. These people need help and your not offering anything constructive other than an attention grab for yourself.
For those of you who were denied new cards and have legitimate documentation, including, police reports, etc. You may be able to appeal the local decision to a higher authority and you also may be able to pursue legal rights in Federal Court to compel. Talk to the local Bar Assoc. about a pro bono attorney to deal with this. They do exist.
Speaking from experience. - 1967MustangDoes anybody have working phone number where you can call Transunion and Experian at? I mean one in which you can actually speak to someone without a report code. Thanks.

I am requesting that all posts in my name please be removed from this and all other affiliated websites. I have found that I am apparently a victim of identity theft and phone hacking. I have been slandered on several internet websites which I will be contacting and requesting that all content be removed. Please and thank you.
Sincerely Amber Ann Pahl - ganderwiz replies to SkipThe problem with that, is that here lately, when the police get involved, they don't come and politely knock on your door at a reasonable hour, they wait until you are in bed asleep in the middle of the night and come bursting in with a no knock warrant, and in all likelihood, in my case, someone would die or be seriously injured. Because I haven't done anything illegal, and if someone bursts into my house in the middle of the night, I am not going to wait for them to identify themselves, I am going to open fire with my 12 gauge. Then they will probably open fire right back so let me change that, at least two people will either die or be seriously injured.
- Ganderwiz replies to bevMy issue is in the last sentence that you wrote. If you don't have it, they can put a lien on certain properties that are in your name that if you sell afterwards, they will get their money you owe before you get any money. It is true, that they cannot garnish social security or disability income, but virtually any other accounts are fair game for them to garnish. If you are disabled and owe money, it would behoove you to do a search on the internet about exactly what a debt collector can and cannot do per law.

- Amber Ann Pahl replies to moparmanYeah I asked the police in my town for an investigation into who is harrassing me. "There is nothing we can do" they said.
I asked the DMV about someone using my full name and drivers license number on a permit racking up points on my record "there is nothing we can do" they said.
I had gotten off of the phone with my uncle Bob, discussing the harassment, I hadn't mentioned to him that the cops could do nothing. He asked them to check on me. They roughed me up and arrested me. I had marks on my wrists for 3 weeks, am on diversion and still owe them fines!
I was smiling in that mugshot cause I thought it was a joke. It's about to be year number 8 of this b.s. I still believe God is bigger, and whoever stole my identity is going to have to realize that too one day! I have remained humble and never hurt anyone no matter how angry it has made me. Still smiling. - Nikki replies to LadyRoseIf you have notified the local police & the credit bureaus you should be able to provide the harassing collector with a copy of the ID theft affidavit. If that doesn't work, let them sue you & take all your proof including police report & affidavit to court and the judge should find in your favor. You have the right to tell the collector not to contact you by phone anymore also. If they continue after you tell them to stop, (be sure to include not contacting neighbors or other friends or family either) then you can turn them into the FCC & there is another Federal consumer protection bureau you can report them to also. They can get in big trouble for harassment after they have been told to stop calling. Tell them one last time your situation, make copies of the affidavit, police report & their bill with a letter to stop billing you & send it to them with tracking & signature required so you have proof they Recieved it. If it does end up in court, consider a counter suit for the damages they have done to you & your reputation not to mention the stress. Just read the papers carefully & reply in timely manner if you do get served to go to court or you will lose. However mailing them the copies of everything with signature of receipt required should take care of your problem if they are any type of reputable company. Good Luck.
- Burned by Wells Fargo too replies to ET| 2 repliesI feel your pain. Both B of A & Wells Fargo are the worst. I had a situation with WF that went clear up to & through their President as well. However the difference is it included my home. They tried diligently to steal my home. They even told me when I asked what did they want? I had been paying my mortgage but they refused to apply it. So I begged them to tell me what would it take to get them to lay off and stop trying to steal my home of 40 yrs. How much did they want me to pay & why? The answer I got blew me out of my shoes... I was told in no uncertain terms & verbatim, "WF doesn't want your money, they want your property so that's it." I couldn't believe my ears. Well it took us aalmost yrs but we finally won the court case but it cost us a bundle that we will never get back. Money & stress we didn't deserve to have to put out. Meanwhile they just go on doing businesses like they could care less about anyone or anything. So the next time you see one of those "WF we're here when you need us" commercials think about this & how they litter ally tried to steal my childhood home just because they thought they could. In my opinion, both banks mentioned here should be shut down forever. None are perfect but those two are evil. My money is on Chase & credit unions. They are the only one's worth a thing anymore. GOOD Luck to you dear. Contact your local B of A & see if they won't help clear up their obvious mess. Don't hold your breath though.
- Amber Ann PahlI had been on the phone telling my uncle about being stalked and harassed so he called police to check on me. The report doesn't say that.
It basically says they received the initial call for an officer from my phone, implying that I misued 911 twice in the line that states "Cape Coral Dispatch advised that they received another call from (my number)."
When the officer arrived, I confirmed that I was Amber Pahl, told him I was fine, and thanked him for checking on me. When he walked up to the house he asked if I was Amber Pahl, told me my uncle was concerned and asked them to trace my phone and check on me.
After I told him I was ok, another officer arrived with flashing lights and so did a firetruck with flashing lights and four firemen. The two officers started backing me into the corner of my front porch asking me what my birthday was and the four firemen started pulling out equipment that they wanted to strap on me and check my vitals.
I repeated that I was fine, thanked everyone and asked them to leave. The six men were all talking to me at once plus my boyfriend was standing on the porch and didn't know what to say.
The cops and firemen were all asking questions and trying to get me to sign papers, yelling at me. The firemen left after about five minutes but the cops wouldn't leave.
I didn't want to give them any more info and just wanted them to leave. After about half an hour of them hovering over me and restricting my movements, I told them I was going back inside. One of the cops put his hand on my shoulder and held me there. I was wearing a spaghetti strap sun dress and I felt uncomfortable with his hand on my bare shoulder.
I became frightened and called 911 to report that CC police were scaring me and wouldn't leave my residence. That's when I was cuffed and I said "this is b.s. you are probably in cahoots with my stalker" The report lies and states me as saying "you are all in cahoots and out to get me"
It also lies when it states that I "didn't understand and began to yell about her negative views about the CCPD" I never once yelled or resisted. I calmly walked to the car in cuffs as the officer kept grunting and twisting my wrists harder and harder into the cuffs when I told him he was hurting me. I had swelling on my wristbones marks on my wrists for three weeks after I got out of jail.
I was told that after completing diversion that this arrest would be not available to the public. I emailed the sheriff's department about having my mugshot taken down from the public website. He says I need a "No Information" in order to do so. I told him I have certified completion of diversion and no information paperwork from the clerk.
He told me to bring that paperwork to the sheriff's headquarters because his computer has conflicting information, saying my case was administratively dismissed and does not qualify for removal from the public website.
I dug through my paperwork concerning the ticket issued to me using a permit. I need to correct myself. I found the ticket in question, I did get that ticket myself. I did not have a permit, I had a license when it was issued.
I went to the DMV today and asked why driving records list the ticket as being issued to me with a driving permit. I asked if it was possible that the officer made a mistake writing the ticket and the lady said yes. She said my file at the DMV does not show a permit.
As far as someone hacking most of my old online social accounts and impersonating me, the most I can and have done is request that the stolen and photoshoped images and damaging posts be removed.
There are more circumstances indicating that my identity has been stolen. As I sort through the mess, it seems that I have underestimated my stalker. I was warned about someone and told that she has "friends and capabilities."
There is nothing the police can do because I have no proof that she is behind several assaults carried out by various people and I never reported the incidents as they happened out of fear.
