You know if it was a legitimate call they could sue you for assault. It happened several times before and the people using the airhorn were charged with assault.

So what to so if you already given all the information they need? I wonder if any one has fall in their trap and actually got the Walmart gift card even if they charge you a $1.00?

Read the blog that was posted on the 13th of November at http://keepscamsaway.com/id70.html. This sounds like the same company, but there are thousands of crooked telemarketers out there.

i v learned a lot from all these fake calls......i actually gave all my info to them but when they repeatedly asked to verify my debit card info n expiry date, i was too  pestered and hung up. To my shock, I saw 1 dollar debited from my account to some core vision grp in florida. I immediately called my bank and blocked the card, otherwise GOD knows what would happened !!!!!!!!! I guess this one dollar loss has really taught me the lesson. But really donno know what to do with these bunch of idiots............

I asked them address of their company they gave me Walmart Corporate office Arkansas address, i was convinced then they asked me to pay for shipping .. then i got doubt and i wanted to know what they do so i gave them the Gift Card that i used and had 45 Cents remaining on it. then that guy said he is transferring call to verification dpt .. where a recorder started, he asked my confirmation couple of times. Now I am worried ... can I still be scammed?

Noone has ever gotten their Wal-Mart gift cards to my knowledge. And are you SURE they only charged a $1.00? I'd check your account if I were you. There are plenty of empty accounts out there but no delivered gift cards.

I had exact similar experience few days ago. One Saturday while i was shopping at Wal-Mart i received 1st call. Women at other end told me that i have recently bought few items from Wal-Mart and i have been selected for 100$ free Wal-Mart gift card, She had my name, address etc. and she wanted $2.99 for shipping and handling and wanted my CC no. I declined to her at that time. From then on i kept getting calls from different people with similar offer, After 1 week i got another call and they said they have 2 more gifts for me now, $100 Wal-Mart and $100 free Gas voucher, But they need my credit card details. Stupidly i gave them my Credit Card details, Within 3 minutes my credit card was charged 2.99 twice. I got suspicious. When i goggled around found that this is a big scam and have become prey for it. Immediately called the bank and cancelled the credit card. I had the credit card text msg alerts on my mobile. For my surprise next 2 days there was a try for two $12 and $49 transaction on my credit card from some different companies, But as i had cancelled credit card they were declined and i lost only $5.98 (2.99 * 2)
So if you receive any calls similar to this Gift cards, they are fake, Don’t become victim of this scams.

I fell for this scam today, something told me to look it up after the fact. I felt way too squeamish after the fact of giving them all of my information. Unfortunately I had to call my bank acct and cancel my card. To anyone out there thinking of actually going for that $500 walmart gift card or voucher (and/or gas card) DO NOT DO IT! this is definitely a lesson learned for me. Smh

I do these things all the time. its far from a scam. Ive never gotten a call for a 500 dollar one, but i have gotten plenty of 20 and 40 dollar gift cards for a dollar. i end up having to unsubscribe from some buyers advantage club after a month so that im not paying 16.95 for some service. most of the time, even if you forget, when you call to cancel (after you get your gift card) they reimburse you your money that you may have paid for an initial month of there services. i was actually surfing the web to see if there was a way i could get more of these in. it seems that i get a bunch of offers during the holidays, and not many more afterward, just thought id give my two cents. and for the record, if you are with a good bank and something happens where you do get scammed, you should be fine getting your money back with a phone call. if you have my bank, they will freeze your account and call you immediately if there is suspicious activity.

"Walmart" called me today about a 500 gift card and 200 gas card and said there was no fees, subscriptions, anything. Just that there were sending the gift cards in the mail to my address on record and to expect it in about 10 business days. Where's my catch?
