If you gave them a credit card number or bank account number they will spend all of the money in that account. If you gave them your social security number they will open accounts in your name and spend money in your name.
They asked me for nothing. They really didn't even confirm that it was "me" in any way or where i lived. He talked at me telling me this was happening and i said "ok" or "alright" a few times. I've looked around other forums and a rare person says that they got their gift cards and used em with no hang ups. Maybe this place sends legit ones sometimes to give people hope and scam the majority?
That could be. Or it could be that the folks who say they had no problems with their gift cards are the scammers.
Either way, if I get a message like that I'm not going to reply.

Yes, I just received a call from a 00000000 number and with the Walmart scam for $1.99 to receive the $100. Foreigner identified himself as "Sean White" with the Marketing Dept for Walmart. I plainly said "I'm not up for scamming today, sir." My response from Mr. White, "no no no, we are in Arizona and the phone number shows 000000 because it's a protected line." It was entertaining so I kept him on the line a while to pick at his brain and listen for all the little lies to build up. Then I got bored and hung up.

Hey there... I got a phone call from a company, saying that they've choose me as a winner for a gift card, and they said they would give 100$ gift card from target, and they will be sending samples by mail. They told me that if i dont like the samples, that i have to call the company in order to cancel the subscription. I'm worried, i gave them my credit card number , and they took also my address and my name. the first thing i did is I've closed my credit card, and asked for a new one. But what if they send me the samples??? how can I get rid of em?? and is there anything else I should do?? thank you
I lectured the caller about Karma and asked him how he could go home and face his family and that he be should be ashamed of himself and that he needs to answer to his God for his being a liar and stealing from people. Aw the morals lectures gets them everytime. He hung up on me. I am going to brush up on my Hindu so that I can really nail them next time. What a shame that people still pull this kind of crap.

I also got a call from 'Walmart" today from what seemed to be a middle eastern voice. He stated his name was Michael Smith. He told me they did a random selection of phone numbers and that I had won a 500 gift card and a 200 gas voucher. They asked me for my credit or debit card number and to verify my address. When they asked me to give them the security number on the back I became suspicious so I told them I didn't want it and hung up. He kept calling me and I finally answered and when I asked him why I needed to pay if they were willing to give me all that money why not send it to me for free as well. The male didn't answer my question and kept repeating that I just needed to verify my card info. I told him I thought it was a scam and to please stop calling me. He then stopped calling. Did anyone get this same guy calling? It was a 206 #. Thanks.

Actually, if you are asking if this is for real then it means you would fall for this bait. They are giving you information you did not release to them is a HUGE indication they are a scam. I don't care if it's for FREE.......scammers are scammers. They take advantage of people who are desperate for finding work or "winning' something. If you are looking for a job....look with your mind not with your emotions. These people uses phsycology and they know who they can eaily target. Ask questions, don't be intimated. If an real employer wants to hire you, they will welcome your questions because they have nothing to hide.
