Don't let that darn Shane get his hands near your money without asking some vital questions. Can Shan read the same consumer laws you can? Will he explain your rights and share useful advice? Or will he bully and bluff you and shear away your patience until your heart hardens and you're driven to launch a FDCPA lawsuit? - UnknowCPC-cooks it books to hit goals by entering fake payments on accounts they should be audited by their clients for committing acts of fraud
- sale| 1 replyJust don't answer 800, 866, 855 private caller telephone numbers. If they don't show the company name I never answer. It is someone you want to talk too. I never give out my cell number.
- MidNYteStorm replies to saleI would take a step further and avoid any number that people are not familiar with.

- Y| 1 replyCPC Central Portfolio Control DEBT COLLECTION AGENCY.
- Finally replies to YAfter 3 pages of posts someone figured out that this is a debt collector. Brilliant!! hats off to you!!!
- fedupIt is Central Portfolio Control and these people are total scammers. I don't know how they managed to find it - because even I didn't know about it! - but I had an MRI over five years ago that apparently my insurance company didn't fully cover due to exceeding "reasonable and customary charges". The hospital never invoiced me. It doesn't appear on my credit reports, and my score is immaculate. When I asked CPC for validation, they couldn't provide a copy of an invoice, nor proof that they owned the supposed debt. I use a blocker called "Phone Warrior" for Android and have blocked every one of their numbers. They even figured out where I worked and called me there. I was LIVID. If I actually owed this debt I would have paid it five years ago.
People, if this happens to you with a medical "debt", it's called "balance billing" and 47 states prohibit it, so DON'T fall for it - because apparently these Central Portfolio Control a$$sholes are on the prowl for free money. - fedup replies to Shan DarenPerhaps we pay debts that we actually OWE!
- 14-88 replies to Shan DarenI normally don't comment on old posts but, like others have said...WE HAVE A WINNER. Go choke on a fat one you scam choad.
