The best way to deal with them is to call back the number and tell them a piece of your mind. I did that and it worked like magic. You have to be real nasty with them and take control of the conversation. Tell them that you know that they are scammers from India. That will catch them off guard. If they try to talk over you, just hold your ground and overpower them with your voice. Tell them the nastiest things that come to your mind. Call them terrorists. Treat them like the scum they truly are. When they see that you are no pushover they will be so embarrassed and they usually hang up the phone. You will most likely never hear from them again. If they call again, simply repeat the above. Doing this not only protects you from becoming a victim, it feels good to the soul.

I have never taken out a payday loan nor applied for one and Ive been receiving the same harassing phone calls both at work and at home. Ive filed complaints with the BBB and Fair trade commissions as well.  I also have fruad alerts on all my credit cards, bank accounts and my credit reports, so I feel better about them not being able to steal anything. Besides changing my number, not sure what else to do. It is a total scam and if you can block them on your phone, it will help. Hopefully, they get caught.

This is a ring of scammers that attempt to harass you until you pay them not to. DON'T PAY THEM A DIME AND DON'T GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION!!!  Continue to report the callers to the Federal Trade Commission. Also, if you can temporarily forward to a mobile phone...TrapCall works like a charm to find out the real number and often the location of the caller. It does cost a few dollars for the service, but if you are receiving repeated, harassing calls it's probably worth the small investment. Once you find out their real contact information provide it to your local law enforcement immediately (and to the FTC). A second option is for Comcast users: dial *57 after each harassment call; then call your local law enforcement agency. Comcast can trace the call and work with law enforcement to prosecute. Also most cell phone providers have a way of tracing/tracking harassing calls as well. Be sure to contact your provider.

Finally, keep in mind that if you use any call tracking service and actually find the true location and/or name of those harassing you, do not take steps yourself to harass them or threaten them in return. Unfair as it is, you can put yourself in potential trouble with the law by doing so; don't give those idiots the satisfaction!

I dont have the number right off hand, but it is a 516 area code....its the same group of scammers....they have been calling me for a little over a year now, they dont actually call me anymore but they call me roommate and my work....the cycle seems to be that they call then they wont call for about 4 months or so then they start again....I dont think its fair for them to make up such hidious things about me to my work or my roommate, they wont call me because they know that I know that they are full of sh.....I told my work about it and took them printouts to show that it was a scam and apologized.....wish our govt could do something to stop them, but thats ok one day they will have to answer to God for their actions.....too bad no virgins for them when they die....

If you want to stop them from calling you do this: When you answer the phone and they ask for you reply that their is no such person and this is a Fedeal Tap and Trace number and you are collecting information on this phone number placed by payday scamers for Interpol or whatever you feel like saying. THEY ARE TRYING TO RUN A CON. They have bought your personal information from a third party and this has become a very well paying con, originating from outside the US and most of the time bounced through a magic jack type connection.  Ask their name, supervisor etc. If they cuss at you laugh at them. 99.9% of the time they will never bother you again.  Just remember  Don't cuss back, laugh at everything they say.  It works every time.

Keep getting scam phone calls and have been for the past 3 months saying I owe for a pay day loan. I have listed some (not all) of the phone numbers that I have gotten calls from. I have reported them to the local police in my area, made an online complaint with numerous websites. I called one of these suckers back today and told him I filed a report with the FBI and he got very dirty on the phone. I am sick of these losers! I called my cell phone provider today and found out they have a feature to block numbers. Let's hope this helps!
