Fake payday loan collection scams - Please list new numbers here [2]

Just received a call from 855-835-8721 and said there was a complaint against me and gave me an affidavit number.  Said I have 24 hours to call or to have my attorney call.  Sounds like a scam to me.

the scary thing is they have my social , address, place of employment.....

Some traitor(s) here must've sold it to them, or they hacked it off a stupid database which wasn't kept secure.

This is a  number i dont see listed-13603505921 they call me asking for someone i do not even know repeately everyday. I am going to have to change my number.

someone called me saying i owe a quick check loan back in 2002 saying they were the federal billing investigations and that i was red flagged is this real they said if i dont pay that could take things i own or take out of my paycheck

First question: Do you actually owe a debt from 2002?
Second: what type of 'contract' is this 'debt' supposed to be? Was it an open ended account?
Third: Was this call about some payday loan? And if so, did you ever taken out a payday loan ten years ago?
Third: In general, what State are you in? The statute of limitations varies from state to state (see below)

Please note that any debt collector  threatening to sue over a debt that happens to be beyond the SOl in your state is violating the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act!!!

This caller sounds like they are attempting to collect on a debt that's 10 years old! Most States the SOL is less than ten years. 

Has this 'collector' filed a lawsuit against you and has there been any judgement by the court against you out of this? If not he can't seize any of your property or garnish your wages! And his threats are empty!

If you never had anything to do regarding any payday loans as far back as 2002, then this is a scam and they are attempting to pressure you into giving them money that's not due them! A lot of fake payday loan collector's out there are targeting anybody and everybody they can in order to trick them into handing over their money!!!

called my mother yesterday 8139893992 very rude, but got a taste of his own medicine when I put my brother a police officer on the phone....lol probably wont be calling back went by the name chase johnson...

They are persistent.  Ignore them----dont answer unknown numbers---if it's important, they will leave a message.  Dont call them back either----it alerts the dumb [***] that it is a good number and will call you constantly.

You don't pay attention to crazy people. Ignore them, block them and report them. Talking to them will feed their insanity and desperation.

OMG thank you Thank you. They called me to and said Liberty also. The number they had me call is 1-888-383-4428. Saying they are taking me to court and it will interfere with my schooling degree because I will get fraudulant charges on me. NOW I KNOW NOT TO WORRY and they will get NOTHING lol!!! Thank you.
