how to know scam pay day loan

I keep getting phone calls from a sandra brown from a rsb equity group. She argues i owe a company called cash cow,which ive tried calling and the phone just rings. She dont quit, shes gone so far as to want me to fax a copy of my bank statements to her to prove i have never gotten money from that company. I contacted myattorney generals office. And i have her number listed as fake in my phone.

Take it a step further.  Assign her number the ring tone "no ring".  That will send her calls to voicemail without bothering you.

Hi, I think I was also a victim of the same situation, I was low on cash and behind on some bills. So I decided to browse around for payday loans online and see if I can get approve just to get by till next payday. After hours and days browsing around I then would have to fill out all kind of different applications for loans., which includes my name, address, phone #, employment, banking, SSN,. After filling out all this applications it took a few minutes to process. Once I got it process it would tell me that I been approve for a loan, which got me excited. And then it would lead me to all these [***] lenders every time I would fill out these applications over and over which would ask for the same damn information. After doing all this I would start getting random phone calls from which ever it is payday loan it was that I been applying for. Lets make this short OK, I can go on and on. But the point is that was I did got one that really focus on me. They told me that I been approve and that I will get the fund transfer into my account once we go through all the information again. Once that was taken care of they told me I was approve for $1000, but in order to get it they wanted me to go to the closet western union and send them a $299 deposit just to secure the transfer, never did tell me that I had to pay more until they called and received my $299. So they told me that I would have to pay them another $480 cause of my credit score was low and that it would be another deposit cause of it. So I went ahead and did that once again through western union. So they called back right away and said everything is good now go or call your bank to see if your money has been sent. So I was so happy, went to my bank and ask the lady to see if I received funds into my account. came to find out it was not there so the weird thing is they had a number I could call back but it was a weird # like 850-391-1555, which according to them was out of Florida and that's where I been sending the money to and along with the names that they gave me which was like Edith hood the first time. and two different other names after that. anyways all this people had an accent also by the way and all sound the same like Hindus, in the back round it was very loud and fast talking all the same. I had call back and ask for Nickolaus which was his name and ask him whats up where is my cash. He had the nerve to tell me again that my funds had been sent and that the IRS had put it on lock cause of my credit, I said that's [***] man I just paid like $700 through western union man. I was heated, started swearing and everything. He said I had to pay another $480 for another application fee to have the IRS to unlock my funds...man I was so heated. Just told him give me back my [***] money and forget about everything,,I had to pawn in my things and went $450 over my account which was a negative $450 and he told me if I cancel your application you cannot try to apply with us no more and that I cannot see my money for 45 days. I told him I am going to sue u guys and you guys are a piece of goat eating [***] and bunch of cave walking virgins raping [***]. He just hung up and I tried calling back and it said this is not a working number.

O.M.G this was the exact company that did this to me, but the only thing is that I paid all this people money through western union and never seen nothing back.

Well i turned the company into the atlanta bbb. Guess what i got a call today from yet another person, but the funny thing is its the same damn number lol

Payday loan america is a scam and they need to be stopped!! Just Hang up if they call. If you get a call saying that some one can get you 2500 in one hour and tell you that you have to go to walgreens to get a money pak card DONT DO IT!!!!!! you will never get the loan or your money back.

Even at its best, payday loans are a predatory activity.  The problem with using loans when you are broke is that it simply makes you poorer.  

Money management is hard to master and maintain, we live in a culture that teaches us all the wrong things, and provides a thousand powerful incentives to injure our financial health.

I strongly suggest going to the library and checking out one of Dave Ramsey's books.  His methods are simple and effective, and can dramatically change your life for the better if you stick with them long enough.

phone number 949-783-0640 IS a scam. They just took $200 from my wife with the green dot money card like the people commented above. i will kill the [***] if i could get to him.

Thank you Mike for letting people know what you've been through. Going through a situation myself and almost went through w it but my instinct told me to find someone who was also told to. Get a "GreenDot card and put $400 on it. Then I questioned him about seeing a contract. HE Was very impatient, practically ordered me to write some info down and told me I could get $300 gift card if I completed the transaction. I am sorry that you had to go through this, but thanks for saving me! Wish you well!

Thanks to everybody for there info I just got off the phone with those [***] he told me to go to rite aid n get a green dot card put 395.00 dollars on it n I would get 5.000 dollars n my account n a hour I was on my way out the door then something told me to investigate this I went online n found ppl with the same story wow im so lucky thanks to u guys but they are good cuz they ask u all the question a real lender would ask so ppl please b careful

We the u.s. citizens should scam India people, you know like kinda scratching each others back? I get a phone call from the same person everyday with different numbers.

How do you make them stop calling?

I just got a call, definitely from an Indian guy, stating he understood I was in the market for a payday loan.  Before the headache started, I yelled, "No, I am not" to hurry up and cut him off.  He immediately slammed the phone down.  He appears to have been calling from New York 914-930-0887 which showed up as Unknown Name on my caller id.  People from India, get a real job.
