All week I had all fake numbers call me. Every number could not be reached when I called it back! They gave me confirmation numbers and told me to call anthor number to there loan manger. Than told me to go to western union and call when I got in parking lot and say jacob iam here. Lmfao! They are all broken english can't speak a word. Go back to your country!
Odds are, they are already in their country. Many of these scams use spoofed Caller ID info to make the call look like it is from a North American number, while the caller is sitting in a call center half a world away.

I wish I had read this site before I fell for this scam. I am not sure how to feed my 2 poor little Beagles, my husband and myself. My checking acct is overdrawn, blah, blah, blah. Anyway, I have had so many calls I am confused. I can say I was foolish enough to send more than $1000. 1/3 of the loan I requested. First they ask for a 'verification' amount to make sure you can make the monthly payment. Next an 'insurance' amount due to poor credit. 3) BBB and FTC won't let them transfer money so they need to send it by Western Union. They want another $379 to make the transfer. The catch is when I looked up WU and found they will only transfer up to $2999. Then it takes 2-3 days to even get your money. Of course you are told it will be within an hour. The names and #'s I have are: 1) CASH ADVANCE AMERICA: a) David Cooper b) Rick Brown c) Peter Spencer d) Adam Garcia e) Roger Phone # 510-545-7929 Almost missed a Kevin Logan (only want VANILLA card) 2) LOAN OF AMERICA; Jason Miller, 754-201-2552 or 2554 (Green Dot Money Pak) 3) NATIONAL CASH ADVANCE: Adam Ryan 510-397-3343 (Green Dot Money Pak) request money to unfreeze SS# 4) #2 NATIONAL CASH ADVANCE: ANNA LAMEF and KEVIN ROGER 734-469-7720 ( Green Dot Money Pak) 5) ? COMPANY NAME: Michael Hayward, 646-719-8477 6) ? COMPANY NAME: James Smith, 331-333-6321 x105 They all tell you there are other people out there trying to use their names. Only call them. Don't tell anyone about what you are doing. When I finally got smarter and started asking for web sites, email addresses, some sort of confirmation, a physical address, etc. they said I would receive the documents AFTER I received the loan. Otherwise it was like them authorizing the loan and then I could sue them. (right) I also find it amazing that each of these young men with very strong accents all have such American names. Hopefully this will help someone else.
While I hate to see you were scammed, thank you for providing this information.
For future reference for anyone who stumbles on this post: A social security number can not be frozen. It belongs to the United States government, and they are the only ones with the authority to put any type of restrictions on it (though I have NEVER heard of them doing so).
Almost fell victim .. Was Looking for a quick loan , then after so many phone calls from different companies called me with I believe to b Indian decent.. Couldn't understand what they were saying. They all had the same accent. They say.. U are approved for a loan how much do u need .. after call the financial advisor with ur approval code ID #. After u call them they will tell u how much u need to pay every month . Then they said to get a green dot card , vanilla reload card or u can western union etc... For ur 1st payment to prove u have the money to pay the bill each month. Then they will ask u for the pin off the card , then after they will send u the Loan & the money back from the card within n hr. I did the research first although I need the money I didn't needed for that day. So when the calls kept coming I knew they wasn't rite.. Said why they so eager to give me this loan & they kept asking me when I'm going to get the card to give them my pin. Never had a company call me so much to give me anything. Telling me to call them when i get there to guide me.. Another co.. wanted me to stay on the phone with them from the time I leave until the pin transaction.. I pretended I was going in 1 hr.. 1hr later they called me asking what happen smh they really was eager for tht pin .. .. I tried calling back numbers during my research didnt even go through or When u call them either the call goes directly to them or it pause then ring on my end then they pick up.. Anytime I call a business I have to listen to a computer press this number that number . Blah. Blah jus to talk with a costumer service rep. Didnt bother to ask them real questions already realize they were full of sh*t..

We had a man call us on Friday I believe...and said your approved for 1-5k loan. said only need the 1000...sounded awesome. After talking with my husband when he said to load the 105 onto a moneypak we both went and got one with the money on it. called back waited the 30 min called him back and then we needed to do another 155 but the 260 would be included in on your 1000 loan. needless to say today is monday and there is still NO MONEY in our acct. the last i talked to this guy our loan was froze until our credit was showing improved and the 260 was never refunded to my acct. i have now learned to ask what are the up front things and no thank you....we have already been robbed of 260.00 that we didn't have and looking at being evicted from our home. His name was David Cooper at number 9174846188. We are now having to ask my father in law who is on a fixed income for the money and pray this guy is caught. over 12 years ago these payday loans were never like this. you applied and the next day it was there. now the ones who really need help can't get the help.
It is ILLEGAL to ask you to pay money to get money. Doesn't matter if they say your "credit rating is bad", or "you need to pay taxes" or "it's an installment to show you can afford the loan." It's illegal, period. Since you sent your money via a pre-paid, reloadable card, it's gone and you won't be able to recover it. Please do report the scammers to the FTC, FCC and your state's Attorney General.

hello all, yes indeed sounds like a scam, I went to a legit site which asked me for my info and continued to get shuffled around asking same things over and over, i am getting calls at work, my cell starts ringing at 8am (I worked until after midnight most nights and I hate getting woke by the phone that early) but it has not stopped all day for 2 days now. I have spoken with two people thus far, one which I could barely understand and got snotty when I asked to repeat or slow down, asking me"do you want the loan or not?" And when I asked to send me documents to research the company or verify the call he skated around the question. Both asked me to send payment first to show I can make payments(because of my credit) The second guy was nice and seemed more professional but I asked him to give me the weekend to verify and to send me documents via email, that was this morning and it is now 4am next morning and I have no email from him. So glad I used my head to check them out first, but I thought was weird they are offering me 2000 so easily with affordable terms and also if I need money why would I send them money, not to mention sending money to someone I do not know after 1 phone call without any documentation. I hope my information is safe since it was given to so many different people. Shouldn't the legit site you go to be accountable for routing you to these sleaze bags or giving them our information? Not sure how it all got to this point but I am happy I used my head for once and did not let my need for cash allow me to become desperate enough to fall for their crap! Hope others think before they give up their hard earned cash.

I got a call 1-866-941-7549, telling me that I will be served papers if I didnt pay back my check n go, I due owe, but I dont own a credit card, so they want a pre paid card, so I call back and it just rings 5 times and hangs up, 3 times I called it goes straight to voice mail. Is this a scam? Please help me.
NEVER pay any caller who refuses to MAIL a debt validation letter showing you owe money and that the caller has the legal right to collect said debt. If they refuse to MAIL this documentation to you, then you should NOT pay them! It is a violation of the FDCPA to refuse to mail this information to you.
If you have read the other posts here, it is almost certainly a scammer calling you. Again - if your caller refuses to mail proof of debt to you, do NOT pay them! Please do report your caller to the FTC, FBI, Dept of Justice and your state's Attorney General.
