I also got a number of phone calls today from "DEA Special Agent Mark Waller" (209-416-0837; he id'd himself with badge #3271912). He had told me I had also committed felonies, but he could take care of that for me if I sent him 3 moneyback green cards from Walgreens, CVS, etc. He particularly said that the cards should have a 14 digit scratch of code on the back and be transferrable to PAYPAL. At least in this case, these scammers are using a Paypal account. I also ordered diet pills online about 10 years ago. He hooked me initially because I was apprehensive... knowing those pills did come from india, or wherever... This guy also tries to soften you up by talking about how I violated this or that act...which carries a 5-8 year sentence. He wanted 1500 today. I told him I'd do it and just hung up. When he called back I read the hoax summary on the real DEA page and he just hung up. These guys are pushy, mean, condescending, etc. I don't consider myself a dumb person at all, and I was hooked for a minute or two. Until it happens to you, do not judge by calling us "dumb." These threats are horrible and very, very scary if you have things / persons / a career to lose. They play on our humanity.
Sorry, but since when does a law enforcement agency EVER ask you to go to a Wal-Mart or CVS and buy a Green Dot card???!!?? Hello - RED FLAG!
They don't call you out of the blue and tell you they are going to arrest you. They just show up and arrest you. You get no warning by phone or email.
Also, think "Statute of Limitations" - 10 years ago? I think that mule is long since dead and buried. These are total idiots you are dealing with. Less than 70 IQ points, max. Most people have ordered something online at some point. This baboon has a 50/50 shot with that line.
I'd like five minutes alone with "Special Agent Waller" - I'd teach him how to learn to like prison sex.
Nice of him to keep that message on his voice mail about being a special agent with the DEA. It will look really good on the warrant when they drop in on him for impersonating a federal agent. Like I said, less than 70 IQ points. Who else but a total dumba$$ would leave THAT on their OWN voicemail???!!??
These individuals are sick pigs calling at all hours. After some time of this they finally spoke they could be using a robodialer? and gave me the same shpeel. I ordered a prescription strength skin cream online maybe 5 years back and doubt the DEA is going to go after me for that. They also call connections they dig on social media and that is how they got my number since obviously my mobile is not listed.
And they are so believable. Once I sat was happening and thanking God I did not send them the gift cards they requested of me as well. Avoid these people at all costs and they will keep calling.

Got a call today from Special Agent Michael Turner Badge # T1107 from DEA. Said that I was being investigated for meds that showed up at Customs and Border Patrol and did I purchase these diet pills. I told him no and i was scared out of my wits when he told me they were coming to arrest me and search my house. BUT...if I wanted to get out of it, he would speak with his boss LT David Ward of District 97 Badge # T0023. It sounded like they just pressed a few numbers on the phone to make it look like I was being transferred. Then, LT Ward got on the phone who yelled at me and hung up. So I called back the number they called from- 202-241-5547 and The first guy, Turner answered. He told me....that the other guy said I laughed at him and there was something i could do, maybe it was an error, maybe someone used my name to buy the meds....but if I went out and paid the fine, exactly as they directed, it would be OK. He said he would put the LT back on the phone. So LT picks up after 3 beeps and tells me get some Green Dot cards- card board, not plastic and the fine is $1500.00. He sends me back to Turner and He tells me he will send me some papers and call me tomorrow....but he checked and the fine is not $1500...it is 2500.00... and go out and get the Green Dot cards.... So i am an idiot...I spent an hour of my life dealing with a thief...and I have chest pain now...wonderful! Letting you all know not to trust these morons.....
I got this same call back in October too. Same phone number 206.497.1417. You are right, he was good but not good enought to get any money from me. It was about 45 minutes into the call that he oftered a way to have this all dropped, money. That is really when I knew this was a scam. I told him I had to call my husband which he really did not want me to do. I said I would call him back. He said if I didn't he would come to my job with the warrant. After I further investigation I knew this was fraud. I never called him back and no one ever showed up at my job. Well I just received another call today saying the same crap as before. This time I was on to them and gave him a piece of my mind. Also let him know I have reported him to the real DEA office. This person identified himself as Officer Robert Cabel at 973.910.6350 ex 1525.Please do not fall for this scam. Hope this helps you too...!

Scam,Scam
Same call here, DEA agent about ordering medication from overseas! Call me back within 10 minutes or I will have two officers at your house and search it? Called from 804-859-4184
Think how bad you would feel if they had tricked you into paying. They wasted their time, you didn't fall for it. You win, they lose.

Another DEA Scam From IL
This one is from Special Agent John Reily in IL 309 200-1838 ( "extention" 1525) Badge # 101525. Threated me with 3 federal charges, told me to get a lawyer. Then said he could put a good word in to the judge for me, but no promises. Then said there is a "special" program for people like me, I would have to follow the following 3 steps. 1) Cannot talk about this case to a third person. 2) Go online and follow his directions. 3) MUST be completed within 45 minutes. He told me to go online and type his name "John Reily" into the search bar. When I heard the "45 minutes", I doubted this call and suspected it was a scam. I asked him some questions, like "who are you with?' and he had a problem pronouncing Administration for the DE "A" portion of the title. I acted like I could not hear him and asked him to repeat it, and again he fumbled the words. Then he heard my mothers' voice in the background and mentioned "Oh yeah, I spoke with her yesterday when I left the message", I knew it was a scam, as he left the message on my cell phone! I told him I was concerned with this being a scam, and he replied with "Well then you'll have to get yourself a lawyer!" and hung up. At first I was upset and concerned with an ID theft, but after reading all the postings, I fell better. I am not alone!
What I find odd about these guys is they alway seem to give a "badge number." First off, I'm familiar with federal law enforcement and I can't recall ever hearing of a federal agent giving his badge number to anyone. In fact, if they give a number at all, it's usually their credential, or "cred" number. Another odd thing about them is they seem to refer to themselves in military or police ranks "my lieutenant" etc. Federal agents don't use military ranks to signify their level of authority. There are no "lieutenants" or "captains" among special agent ranks. These guys aren't just frauds, they are incompetent frauds.
After reading your post, I checked the number as the same thing happened to me in March. Wanted $2500. in Green Dot Cards sent to him. I had ordered 90 diet pills in 2001 (yep, 12 years ago) and they had me going thinking I had done something illegal that I would be arrested for. My "agent" called from Washington DC, a different number. I called your number listed and the very same voice was on the voice mail. I really think it's about 5 people sitting in an old garage somewhere making zillions of calls each day.
