I got three calls in one day and handed the phone to my fiancee. He took over and kept calling back over and over again to waste their time. They kept hanging up so he kept calling back and spouting back nonsense. Pretty sure he's offended every one of their employees. Try to spam me I'll waste your time.

That is all well and good IF the number your fiancee is calling back is a number that they left in a message to call them back at.  If not, then he is more than likely calling some innocent person whose number has been spoofed by these scammers.  Just read through the previous nine pages of posts in this thread and you will see just how many different numbers they have spoofed (and those are just the ones reported here).  Just remember, your phone number can be spoofed as easily as anyone else's and Karma tends to be a B----.

Received pink card via mail with title "MOTOR VEHICLE SERVICE NOTIFICATION" with contact number 1-866-787-4363 for vehicle protection update.  It would be a shame if everyone started calling that number.

Yes, given that it's exactly the reaction desired by experienced crooks who have possibly anticipated DDoS games. It's also a shame that no one has added remarks to the correct (and brief) number thread in the past week. It's one among many to cite the widespread little pink postcards.

Calls received nearly daily from Vehicle Processing Center, different numbers from different states every time. I've objected and blocked their numbers but they keep calling. Today was from 231-307-1494. Yesterday from 216-297-7854. Two days ago from 856-317-6659. Etc.

They call us all the time.  You can block a spoofed number, but you aren't blocking them, you are blocking someone who may have real business with you.  Posting on the number thread of a spoofed number is useless.  Tomorrow they will be spoofing someone else's number.  Only thing worked for us is telling them about our brand new Ferrari.  They don't warranty the high end cars.  No calls for weeks!!  Now if that only worked with fake google.

"Posting on the number thread of a spoofed number is useless." No, it's not. Other people could receive calls from that spoofed number & search for it. Thus, any information put in the number thread is HELPFUL, not useless.

Complaints on 800Notes about a different telemarketer were accepted as "secondary evidence" in a high profile TCPA class action, one which yielded a modest but welcome settlement check in my mailbox last Autumn. The list of abused phone numbers submitted by the cruise sales defendants was pitifully incomplete. Probably it fell short by dozens if not hundreds of numbers. My own claim submission included a few phone numbers which did not appear in the 'official' list but did attract complaints to respective threads on this and similar websites. One of those numbers earned fifteen pages of complaints on 800Notes. Had everyone shrugged and figured comments were "useless", alert class claimants like myself would bear a heavier burden of proof and bring smirks to the defense counsel.

Maybe it took several years for those certain threads to gain full value, but I'm grateful to everyone who took a moment to kvetch about their scofflaw callers even though they found no immediate relief.

These scammers have been calling me and I finally blocked their number. Now I wasn't going to make anything of it until I rec'd a letter in the mail from them today telling me my warranty is about to run out and I would be liable for all the repairs on my car going forward. I downloaded an app that can record conversations for anybody who calls you. So I'm going to call them, record them, and tell them that they will be hearing from my lawyer soon. Don't fall for this scam!!!They're not even smart enough to put a "business name" on the letter. I mean, c'mon, who does that. So I'm going to have a little fun with them.
