- Gene StevensAnd the irony, as I was about to say before my message went out prematurely, is that I'VE NEVER OWNED A CREDIT CARD!
- MikeRachel from Cardholder Services is back! Like a zombie she lives again, just got a call from her this morning (10/29/2013).
- Kay called alotGreat...except I still get that particular robo call at my landline number even though it's on the DNC list.
Got one last week actually. Caller ID says "card services"...
they didn't do enough to stop it. - AmandaHave they now changed to Citi (City)? I have received several calls throughout the day from them. I don't own any card/banking from a Citibank. Several complains about it on here. I have however stopped receiving calls from Card Holder services...seams strange one stopped and the other took over.
- icdoggRachel from Cardholder services still is going strong. Constantly calls my in-laws, older people are especially targeted.
- HayzarNot to be left out of this even though i hardly give out my number
to a business nor to that many people BUT it still happens
My remedy (Works most of the time) WHEN they call it gos like this
I answer- "Yes, Collections Dept. can i have your case number please?!"
They hangup everytime and i do not get much afterward
-Hayzar - disgruntledonotcallgirlI hope everyone out there reads this. On June 9th I got a call from me, yes me! On my home phone, the caller ID said my name and number, being curious I answered it, of course it was Racheal of Card Member Services once again. Saying important call about my cards, how they got my number to show up on caller ID I do not know since I'm not a computer whiz. But it's frustrating. Of course I hung up on them, but I'm wondering how many others like me, get these calls with faked numbers, only to have someone call up another to curse them out, and the poor guy doesn't know it's their number being used in a fraud scheme????
- D&GSick of these calls. They've been reported to FTC, reported to FBI, reported to phone company, reported to credit card company fraud departments, etc. I haven't ever even owned a credit card before! I am tempted to not answer any calls, even legit-looking ones anymore 'cause they actually used my own area code once. Thinking about getting a little archaic and going cell phone free but resisting because I have such a great, simple number that I've had for around a decade...inner turmoil!
The thing about this scam that I think is so detrimental is that so few understand how it works. If you answer the phone/press a number, they've got your number to call and call and call. It's illegal in the first place for them to be scamming you so they don't care about continuing to call you, even minutes or seconds apart. The people that they've scammed already are basically paying for the phone calls without even knowing it because they gave their credit card information and now it's being used to pay scammers and to set up phone lines that are hard or impossible to trace. Apparently, the FTC can't keep up with the amount of scamming going on right now so with each scammer that isn't caught, a multitude of potential victims are called, starting the cycle all over again. Millions of complaints have been submitted over the last two years JUST regarding this fake company.
We've gotta keep reporting and stop answering these phone calls - just reverse look-up the number first before deciding whether to answer/call back. As much as I'd like to do it, I don't waste time talking to these people because they don't care or listen or anything - they're the dregs of society, scamming anyone and everyone they can with absolutely no remorse. I don't go through the motions just to prank them at the end of the call. Any time wasted on these people might be costing some victim a lot of money. - pbuck109sep14 , home number , 11.56am
robo-call "Bridgett from Card Holder Services...Final Notice",
pressed one to speak to live person, hung up when I asked who is the company attorney. - pbuck116sep14 , home number , 5.15pm
robo-call "Carmen from Card Holder Services...Final Notice". That's twice this month.
pressed one to speak to live person, they hung up when I asked who is the company attorney. - Mike replies to Hallelujah!| 1 replyI did some checking about the cases brought as listed in this article. The decisions reached follow:
1. $2,032,626, suspended due to lack of ability to pay.
2. $8,300,000, Defendant ordered to sell a Bulgari watch, sports memorabilia, and liquidate an Ameritrade acoount, rest suspended.
3. $9,238,155, Defendant ordered to sell a 2007 Mercedes CL Series, a 1999 boat, a 2002 boat, and turn over all funds in 4 bank accounts, rest suspended.
4. $3,879,111, Defendant ordered to sell a 2008 F250 and turn over all funds in a checking account, rest suspended.
5. Had 3 different settlements:
a. $47,400, suspended due to lack of ability to pay.
b. $152,412, Defendant ordered to turn over all funds in reserve account and one bank account, rest suspended.
c. $11,900,000, Defendant ordered to surrender all funds in the receivership estate, rest suspended.
These amounts supposedly represent all the monies received from the illegal phone operations. Adding them up results in a total of over 35 million dollars. The settlements also include language that prohibits them from using illegal methods in telemarketing again, with the threat of these fines returning if they get caught again. - Anonym replies to Hallelujah! You mean their "Life without a snowball's chance in Hell of parole" sentences...
- pete replies to Hallelujah! You posted your message in 2012. I am writing in Apr. 2014 and the calls still keep coming. Yes, Rachel, but now she has her [***] FRIENDS calling everyone too.
The DO NOT CALL LISTS (both State and Federal) seem to be another LIE to the consumers in America who are pleading for some action to be taken against the CRIMINAL BUSINESSES! Credit Card Services (shut down in 2012) never missed a day in calling, and their penalty was like a slap on their wrists.
I say FIND THEM, and arrest everyone there, Put them in Jail, have a Trial and then sentence them all to 10 years, with no parole.
Time to really get serious about these Illegal Calls. Sad that no one will mess with BUSINESSES. - mike replies to MikeThe call keep on coming. This is April 2014 and they have never stopped.
Guess someone has some other cash stashed overseas or in a numbered account.
Criminal Activity is now the normal state of affairs in the Corporate States of America. - AnonymI have a growing list of blocked numbers, two and three per day. All of these dodos work in tandem with one another. Rachel sometimes poses as a Microsoft technician, or a medical supply salesperson; it's all the same. And nobody can or will do anything about it, tsk tsk tsk.
