This seems to be a common caller ID for scammers.  This time it was the old scam about they were technical support for Microsoft and there was a corrupt file on my computer.  At one time, from a different number, a person had me going, but I didn't give any info.  They had me go deep into my computer files and found a file they said was corrupt.  Then they wanted some information and that's when I said no.  I called my IT guy and he said it was a scam and it was just coincidence that I had just purchased a new computer.  Anyway, I told this caller:  "Shut up, hang up, and GET OUT!!!" and hung up the phone.

The Internet service providers should have the National Security Agency do surveillance on these predators.  Not only are they a nuisance to citizens but also should be considered a threat to our national security.  Many, I am sure are  from foreign countries preying on Americans..

DO  block mumbersNOT ANSWER numbers you don't know. All they are doing is confirming working numbers for future sale. My cell ( G4 ) can block numbers. You can also try to put numbers into you contact list then silence the ringer. The DOC list is a waste of time. Good luck

I get calls from all kinds of stupid phone numbers!  Ever since I switched to Verizonwireless it's been one stupid spam call after another.  I get a lot from 000-000-0000, I get calls from 848-459-4922, and I get calls from 719-593-9999.  I usually always reject these calls and none of them leave messages.  I have had other calls from other numbers and asked them to take me off their list, I tell them they have the wrong number or I yell at them.  Nothing works.  I am thinking that I am going to dump Verizon and move on to another carrier. I am on the DO NOT CALL list and yet that doesn't seem to work at all either.

I have been on the do not call list for two years and still receive calls. It doesn't matter if you put yourself on there, places use number generators.

Have had this number blocked for years...it might be an India based call.  On one occasion, I received a call from this # and the caller said he was with Microsoft security and that my computer had a virus...I knew it was a scam and I played along with them.  I even got escalated to a "supervisor" who wanted to go into my computer.  Purposely, I delayed and acted incompetent - really pissed the guy off and he started yelling at me and calling me names.  It was hysterical!
I love effin with telemarketers and scammers.

I have had 4 calls this week from the 00000000000. Today, I answered it. An Indian accented man claims to be from Microsoft, telling me I have downloaded a Russian and Chinese virus crssc.exe and Microsoft is calling me to give me tools to uninstall it.
I told him I was in my car, but I would call him immediately when I got to my computer. He said he was calling from Microsoft's "secure server" and there was no return call.

    Sounds fishy....beware out there!

No, I'd just leave the phone alone and come back later (doesn't seem to affect my phone bill...)

I've gotten two calls from that number since I activated my new cell phone from Verizon Wireless. I have been with Verizon for years, and have had several cell phones, but this unknown number call never began until I got my newest cell phone. I went to my online account, and got into my usage controls, and put this bogus number on the "blocked" list. Let's see if it works.

You have me wondering now! We always got a few but changed to Verizon Wireless with home phone and seems there are more bogus calls now. Have a 2-year contract! Seems this would be grounds to break it.

I got a call from this number 3 times today and they knew my first and last night wanting me to talk to them about going back to school. I just knew it was a scam so i hung up and called Verizon, They show the incoming number as my own number. they told me to do a screen shot of my phone and take it into a store so that they can document everything. There is a huge phone scam going on.

I read this from someone else then called Verizon back to make sure no charges where made, they noted it in my account that all extra charged can not be charged without Verizon calling me first.
