I got a few missed called from this company last couple days. I finally answered. There was a middle eastern man voice on the line, he said he is calling from the computer technical support company, not knowing I am an IT person myself. So I tol him to stop spamming and scamming me. The phone got hung up ASAP!!!

I keep getting calls from 000-000-0000; today I received 3 calls within 7 minutes of each other; i'm sick of this crap; whoever decided to allow this on our cells phones needs to be fired; this didn't happen until they opened up cell phone numbers with telemarketers!

That's ridiculous. Phone companies don't "sell peoples' numbers". They are avaliable for free to anyone. Even if it were not free, and access was limited in an alternate dimension, it would still be illogical. Phone companies make their money by providing people the services they want. If they hand over peoples' numbers, people would drop that company and find a more reliable one.

Going by personal experience, and what I've seen, almost anytime you get a call from a number with an absurd amount of zeroes, prepare to talk to a foreigner posing as fake tech support agent. These look too ridiculous to even waste time answering.

This week I've gotten a couple calls from the number "+136", more from the 4 digit number "1036" (when I googled it, it said a "Microsoft" scam) and EVEN MORE from "unknown" every time I answer & say hello they hang up....

Spoofing IDs with dummy and impossible numbers stymie any chances of phone companies doing much about it. The calls likely are coming from overseas, making matters even worse. Your best bet is to simply ignore the call all the way around. Shutting down an answering machine works wonders in stopping them, too, since they're not getting a bite of any kind when they call. Eventually, they'll tire of ringing numbers that have no answers. You might still get a few once in a while, but I can promise your number of junk calls will decrease for the most part.

The DNC list was not designed to automatically block unwanted calls. It applies only to legitimate telemarketerrs. Telecriminals (like these), do not follow it or any other laws.

Have been getting calls from 1-000-000-0000 for about a week now.  The first caller (India-accent) stated they're from the Computer Maintenance Depart for Windows Computers!  They're receiving downloads on their server from my computer of Malware and dangerous programs.  I asked their company name - but they continued to say it's from my LSID. Told them I'm not interested in what they're saying or selling and do not call again.  Next day, another caller - a woman, also with an India accent.  I again asked the company name... call was disconnected.  The call came again, unanswered the following day, the next and again today.  ENOUGH!
    • Caller: Would not say Company name.

I got the same call about my computer, I told them I do not own a computer and they hung up. Another one I got today from 000000000 said I qualify for a government grant for $9,000.00 then they gave me a confirmation number and phone number to call to activate and have it sent to me western union (number to call was 202-738-4108) I WILL NOT call as I know its some kind of scam, I was just wondering who I report this to to get these crazy accent scammers taken down so they can't hurt anyone.

I have been getting these calls for quite some time now. I decided to mess with them a bit. One said in a very thick accent that my computer was showing up with a virus and I should push keys on my computer so they can fix it... Ummm, NO. The one today KNEW my name, address, etc.and in his thick accent said I will receive a grant for 9000.00 I just have to call this number to activate it (the number he gave me is 202-738-4108) and they would western union it to me... Ummm, NO. A few times it was some medical thing (same thick accent) that I receive a claim amount for.... Ummm, NO. How do we get these people arrested?
