apparently you don't know what you're talking about. Rid-x is nothing but fillers(sawdust) which clogs drain pipes and it costs more than Activator 1000, it does not come with a money back guarantee either, Activator 1000 does. It's a no brainer: buy Activator 1000 to maintain your septic system

They have been calling me for weeks now.  I had received a brochure in the mail...but it is, as noted above, seriously outdated.  They call daily and I just ignore it.  They show up now on caller ID as EMC Packing Shp, and the number is 732 240-5585.  They are persistent with the calls.  I agree that the positive posts here are most likely from the company making the calls.  Interesting that people have been using the product for more than 10 years but no one has ever heard of it until now.

Ok the email address is no longer active.  I tried to email this entire page to it.  I do believe this is a scam.  I just received a phone call...not from this number...but another one...732-240-5548..and when I started to say I wasn't interested they just hang up on me in mid sentence.  Any legitimate company would have at least said Thank you for your time.  Anyway if you are having problems...try rid x..you can buy it at the grocery store and works wonders. Plus it is cheap.

I received a call, (I'm also on the "do not call list") and they made it sound like they were linked to the EPA.  I took the call and the woman calling was very nice and really made the product sound like it was good.  I didn't want to commit until I talked with my husband and we never decided to purchase the product.  The paperwork she sent me did not have a company name on it, but from the posts above, I checked for EPI Corp in the Better Business Bureau and there is no listing. (The paperwork they sent said they were a member)  I didn't like the fact that there was no company name on their paperwork and I'm not sure I want to risk my money on them.

I Just recieved this call. I am also on the DNC. If this product worked they wouldn't need to use illegal tactics to sell it. People who say they are  using it are probably selling it (l ars, in other words). They are currently claiming to be PRO active, why the name changes and lies if they are ligit.

Being on the DNC, I don't give my info till they give me theirs, then I report them instead.

Thanks, I will add my name to the "suckers" list. EPI is full of sh*t. They called me, even though I'm on the DNC list as well. The first message I received about a month ago was a recorded message from someone claiming to work with EPA. The second time, a man from their called me personally. I listened to the same stuff: " ...we are BBB accredited". They are not members of the BBB. BBB gave them a C+ rating, and I'm surprised it's that high. They operated under at LEAST 4 different names. I accepted his offer to send me a 30 day supply "risk free", but he sent the entire 3 year supply with invoice enclosed. One week after, I received another invoice. I received another 2 weeks later. 30 days later (at 9:30 at night), I get a call from these scammers wanting to know how I want to pay, and that they'd discount my price if I paid over the phone. I told them I wanted to return the product, but the CSR and her manager both told me that was "not our policy". I tried the first dose of their product and it did not work, and now they are trying to strong-arm me over the phone. Let the battle begin...

I just got a call from them. The number on the activator 1000 containers is 800-505-8800. They were very friendly when I ordered it, but I still have some left. A man called today and wanted me to get 3 more years at the 2 year price. good deal, for sure, but I don't want to commit to anything right now. Told them I didn't want it right now, wanted to talk to my husband, etc. At this point I felt he was getting too pushy so was no longer interested at all, and tried to nicely say so. He went on about "you can't even pay $29 a month???" When I said no, he said he pays 20 dollars a day for lunch and he'd make my first payment, "as a charity".  It was way pushy by this time, so I said no thanks, and he became angry and said "thanks for wasting my time!!".
I don't care if the stuff works or not, I would never buy from these people, or recommend them to anyone. Simply because of these sales tactics. They need to take some classes or something.

I am very shocked and appalled this happend to you.  I am a manager for Activator1000. I am very sorry you were treated that way. If you please contact me @ activator1000@gmail.com I will see to it you recieve a free supply and make sure no one else will call you again.  If you give me your info I can further identify who did this to you and terminate him immediatly. That is my personal e-mail so I will cut through all the red tape and take care of you myself, it is the very least I can do. Again I respect blogs and even though a lot of info on this site is either out dated or flat out not true, I can't stand for someone to be mistreated by a company I represent. So please contact me I will send you a free supply and together we can make sure this doesn't happen to anyone else.

Skip being rude. Get a police/coaches whistle, and blow that into the phone.

Ray, I'm very happy you posted this. Much of the info on this site may be dated, but at least I can verify my experiences, because I have been receiving collection calls at least once a month from EPI.

The first EPI salesperson that contacted me was actually a machine (prerecorded message).

The second EPI call was from a person, and he told me he'd have a sample sent to me to try, but it was NOT a sample. It was the entire 3 year supply. I tried calling within the 30 day period to return the product, but I did not get anyone in person. I didn't even get voice mail.

On the day AFTER the trial period ended, I started getting collection calls from EPI. It has been going on since September of last year. I still have the unused product I can send back, but they refused returns and demanded payment with each call. They weren't interested in negotiating, so I had to secure a lawyer, and I gave them his contact information. EPI has still been calling me and sending me collection letters even after they received my lawyer's info.

If you are interested in good public relations, here are some things that will garner trust:

1) List the people who work for EPI by name and a picture of them on your website.
2) List the physical address that you are incorporated under on that website. The P.O. Box listed as your return address makes you look very unbelievable. Give us something we can find on a map.
3) Come clean about the citation that was sanctioned against EPI in 2004. Reference the following:

This citation was a matter of public records filed by the Federal Communications Commission. The citation was in regards to unsolicited sales of your product.

I have a 1 inch thick file on EPI that is growing by the month, and I'm sure the FCC would be happy to hear from me, considering you are still doing this even 8 years after the citation.

My mom uses this stuff in our septic tank after we had it pumped. Kind of odd they called right after we had work done, maybe some scam lol. But it seems to work. But the salesmen are kind of pushy. Has anyone heard of "Pro Active" or "Proactin" or something along those lines septic cleaner. I have got about 15 robo calls from them, and its annoying as hell. They want your name to send you information, and Theyll take any name and not give you any infor. Its like recorded on a machin or something. You can even hear other machines in the background with different messages. Its like someone put the phone up to a recorder. Today i literally left my name as "AG" and the machine accepted it. Next time I'm leaving my name as "Fawk Yu". Haha. But If anybody has the number, it would be really appreciated.

And by this stuff, I mean Activator 1000, not proctin or whatever the hell the message i got says.

I ordered Activator 1000 from EPI 2.5 years ago, bought a 2 year supply.  Got a phone call this morning from EPI.  The guy was very rude.  He asked me if I was using the product once a month and I said pretty much.  He asked me if I was out of product and I said no.  He then said, well you ordered a 2 year supply 2 and a half years ago and you told me you use it once a month, so where does that leave you.  I said, ok, right and hung up the phone.  HE CALLED ME BACK 4 TIMES.  First saying nothing, then saying how does it feel to be hung up on?
This guy with the thick NJ accent is a complete [***].  Would NEVER order anything from this company/

This company keeps doing robocalls at 8:00 AM, sometimes even on a Saturday morning even though I am on the do not call list. The caller ID shows as "unknown", so finally I pressed yes that I was interested just so I could find out who this is that keeps disturbing my sleep. I allowed them to send a package to me just to get the name and address, and I sent it right back yesterday when I got it, but now I know who it is, as I typed in the name and address on line and found that they have already been cited by the FCC and been warned that future offenses will be fined. Please fine them a billion dollars and SHUT THEM DOWN. They are ruining my life.

This is just for information purposes only. Please be aware that if you have a home business, weather it would be making cupcakes, selling homemade paintings or even a home office that is promoted as a real estate office. Realize any call from a business to your business is legal. You can not have it both ways. You can not use your home line as a business line and have that same line on the DNC. The best way to do it is to have a separate line for business and one for your personal use in your home. Then if anyone calls your personal line they are in violation. If you like you can go to DNC.com and see this info for yourself.  Go under the FAQ section and look under B2B.  Q.  What about Business-to-Business (B2B) calls?  

A.  Businesses to business calls are not covered under the TSR or TCPA.


Now if this company has an audio of you ordering the product. And they see you have posted a falsehood, there maybe legal ramifications. Just friendly info, I hope this helps you out.

PS. also you should not promote web site that have #'s on them if you don't want people to call your home that you occupy a business in...
