- Cliff_07 replies to ladycross8I just got sane call. Had another from blocked # two days ago. Forget FCC. Try FBI Frauds Div.
- Francis Patinvery discusting, the called asked if he cold screw my wife.
- Rusty replies to joel| 1 replyJoel, just received a call from the same number, 202-000-1111 and I didn't bother picking it up. It's the second fraud [***] in two days, the other one was from a Salt Lake City number 801-410-7837, which advised me to call a number in DC. 202-333-2221. They have a scam advising people they are entitled to a grant valued in excess of $6,000. Don't bite and don't even answer the phone, it's a scam.
- GerryGot two calls from the 202-000-1111 number today. The first call was some strange language with a hang up. The second call I misses, and when i tried to call back I got a message that said I needed to call from a land line rather than a cell number. Strange!
- RDP| 1 replyI have been getting calls from this number 202-000-1111 off and on all day. A few minutes ago, I just got another one and that number is 011-202-0001111. More digits. Yesterday, I got a call from 646 area code. She said she was from Microsoft and that my computer has been sending them warnings of being infected and they would like to fix it for me. I asked where she is calling from and she said NYC, USA. I almost fell for it, but decided to hang up on her and shut down my computer and turned off my cell phone. From now on, I'm not answering any calls from numbers that are not familiar or weird area codes.
- Rusty replies to RustyJust received another call from the fraud and answered FBI, can I help you? Can't believe how fast they hung up...
- JoshThey called saying that I was to receive $9,000 some odd bills that I didn't need to do anything for that it was a gift from the government for paying taxes loyally and what shocked me was I have never paid taxes a day in my life because I have never worked a day in my life. As soon as I told them this they said "ok sir" and abruptly hung up in a rude speed. So yes this is a Scam.
Also the call was marked Anonymous on my caller ID when usually it would say unknown - robert abbottScam

- R ConsumerI got five calls from this number today -- in seven hours. Seeing the prefix "000" on my caller ID, I ignored the first two calls. When I got a third call within a few hours, I thought I better answer (I live adjacent to the "202" area code and thought maybe the 000-1111 number was a stock number used by DC police or emergency services). As soon as I answered, I knew it was one of those spam calls from overseas. The caller's English was so bad he kept screwing up his script, would start again, and finally he just hung up. The next caller's English was even more unintelligible and when I asked him to tell me again why he was calling, he got flustered and hung up. The last caller was also hard to understand, but I thought he said he was calling from Garmin. I don't own any Garmin stuff so I hung up. These guys are just a real bad imitation of the "from Microsoft help desk" scammers who --even though total scammers -- can speak English well and stick to their scripts!
- R Consumer replies to GregActually, by blocking all of "202" you are blocking 5 million possible numbers, including calls from your senator, your representative and legit calls from the IRS, social security or any other entity based in Washington DC. Besides, these scammers are not calling from area code 202 -- it is just a "spoof" number for caller ID. (There is no " 000" prefix in "202" area code.) Tomorrow they will call from what appears to be a different area code. and next week yet a different area code. Eventually, you would have to block all calls from all area codes. Block the number for sure... but the entire area code?
- Christopher brownCall to tell me I eligible for United states government grant for $9,000 dollars for paying my bills on time. To receive my money I would need to send $300 via western union to a representative in Thailand to provide confirmation I am who I say I am. Then minutes later I would receive my money + the $300 I sent

- brantI just now received a call from this person saying I got a 9000 grant from the government in Washington D: im so shocked that's so many people got this call, the second I asked him what my name was he hung up. and just like most here ton of loud background and a low middle eastern voice that I couldn't really hear.
- Jennifer UnscammedI want to know who to actually report this call to! It was a call from 202-000-1111, and the guy recommended I call his "senior accountant" at 202-738-4653, and tell him my confirmation number of B321, to get my $7000 sent to me by Western Union. Sure, that happened. I didn't give him my bank account number, as he requested. I'm not the one to get scammed. But who do I report this to?????

- J replies to Cody202-000-1111 I answered and an Indian man stated he was with the US Gov. I replied and said the US Gove would not call me. He then replied saying US Gov would not call me but they would come and [***] me? I asked him to repeat what he said and he state it again that they would not call but they would come and [***] me? I reported it on the DO NOT CALL list but i feel very uncomfortable.

- Nick replies to can678| 1 replyGot same message. Can't remember phone number.
- JORDANThey call claiming I've won $9,000.00 from the government. No strings attached due to being a good citizen. They ask that I not use the money for drugs or illegal activities. I am educated enough to know this is a scam, but there are people who think this is true and they get very upset when they find out that it is a scam and don't always believe that it is not true. They should not be allowed to continue calling people. It is annoying and disgusting they are getting away with it when it is has been posted all over the Internet about the same scam and same man calling tons of people.

- Nick replies to NickI read that these parasites know that most people are suspicious so to save time they make outrageous offers that only a few people will believe. The gov will give me $9000 for nothing...yeah right.
